I don't think wing is Drizz's best spot, but he can't push someone else out of a role, particularly when he's fumbling and getting pushed off the ball by the opposition easily too.

What he does bring to the team is good endurance mixed with the ability to roll into the middle or win a contested ground ball.

Banners is a decent shout from Superkoops for an alternative I hadn't considered in the meantime.
My expectation is they want a fairly settled team ahead of a run in to potential finals, so they'll persist unless there's clear signs it won't work (NOD's form doesn't allow or a clear improvement).
Yeh noddy is a tough one. Probably still adds more value ATM than sharp. Seemed Acres did get on top of him and letting him roam bit too freely.

Although, noddy has not been clean lately, he has been making one or two important contests

That missed goal last qrter could of been problematic

Plus he was going to ground too easily a lot yesterday.

Not sure how Freddy is getting away with shirking contests, one shocker in the hectic last Qtr.

If Wags is fit, hes the obvious guy to make way unfortunately.
Hard to see Ras surviving both Fyfe and Wagner coming back (and Fyfe is coming back after that WAFL game), even with Young out

I don't think they should bring Pearce back in for an away game, it all seems so touch and go right now and they can afford to keep McDonald in for another week. NOD needs to lift, Fyfe sub. What about Walker?

Having Voss arrive as a serious threat, has really allowed the coaches to play Luke Jackson on ball more.
It's a massive luxury, that has changed the team

NOD struggled. Don't expect it to happen, but I'd bring Walker back to see what role he will play in finals, move BB up to wing to replace NOD, Wagner in for Young, Fyfe to sub. No pearce until next week.
Walker is now out of the best 22, i dont think he's playing finals. Id wager they have Cooper ahead of him as well now

Predicted this at the start of the season.
Jackson is far too good to waste as a third tall. Let Voss hunt, he’s still mobile for his height

I'd like to see Pearce (Omac) and Wagner (Young) back, with Fyfe into sub (sorry Ras).
3 changes is a fair bit so I'd keep it to that.
Won’t be that many.
Can see the merit in leaving Pearce out for the away trip.
May only be Wagner for Young. The changes will come for Brisbane most likely

that's a pity considering Walker is our best proven lock-down defender with the fasting closing speed. Let's hope Banfield, Chapman, Cooper and co can keep up with those pesky smallish speedsters that typcially score so many goals in finals like Rankine, Keays, Rachelle, Cameron, Ah Chee, Elliott, Schultz, Hill, Mannagh, Close, Stengle, Jones, Greene, Ginnivan, and Watson probably will. Enough to give me nightmares personally. Glad your faith in Cooper is a lot stronger than mine. But I suppose he has played 2 full games back there. He must be super prepped and ready for finals.

Port have a major annoucement tomorrow at 1pm.

Either Hinkley's last game or Possibly Travis Boak's i suspect.

I hope they announce both and then we use that artificial horseshit to fire up and absolutely destroy them, ruining the fairwell to two of their greats in the process.

Haha, I dont necessarily agree, but JL has Banners and Worner ahead of him clearly as it stands
Let's be honest - We shouldn't be naming Worner in this thread at all given how he played yesterday.

Didn't think Banfield was bad either.

It's harder to change a winning side but its a bit different when A Graders such as Pearce and Young return from injury.

Wouldn't be surprised if Wagner is made to wait too tbh (although I don't expect him to given Young's injury).

Agreed on Worner and given how good he's been defensively, it's likely he's keeping Walker out now more than Banners. Disagree on Wagner, he's earned firm best 22 status off only short term injuries. he comes in ahead of Ras, Fyfe, Banfield and Noddy IMO
