Actually...NO..it's not a necessity. 22 inform players is much MORE of a necessity !!! ...but whatever. Why reward good form? ...best drop it back to the SANFL for the gold pass club.

I'm guessing anyone you don't agree with is posting rubbish ???? ....I'm not posting team balance rubbish...but many are using it as a reason we should drop in form players...I'm calling it out for the RUBBISH Bullshit it is.

If you're calling out team balance as rubbish you know f**k all about structure and strategy that is part of what coaches plan for in every game.
Coaches talk about it all the time, try listening to them sometime.
Stop embarrassing yourself regarding this topic.

Yes they do is that the reason Otten will remain as the coaches like form, for good reason aswell

Nobody. Stays in the SANFL another week - his 40 touches can hardly have been that inspiring when the final margin was only 2 points. Needs to prove he's willing to run defensively first, because all he did last year at AFL level was ski downhill in the easy games and evaporate in the hard games.

McGovern clearly out, pretty sure it'll be Jenkins straight back in. Milera looking as weak as water out there, shades of the worst of Luke Jericho and Ricky Henderson at the contest, I'd have him out first and replaced by Menzel in the coming weeks, or perhaps replaced by an elevated Greenwood if he keeps the form up.
That was against last years premiers

Otten has earned his spot and he deserves to keep it. He is a smart player with a footy brain and doesn't lack courage.

And he's able to play at either end which is something that Pyke would love.

I for one am glad for the lad. Tough road back from 2 recon's but he's backed himself and taken his opportunity. Hope he continues on an upward trend.

Gee Matty Crouch is playing well hey Rabbit!

Carrying that midfield with Sloane :)

In: Jenkins (otherwise Greenwood), Crouch
Out: McGovern, Milera

I think Greenwood deserves his chance and a 40 touch performance is enough for Brad Crouch to come into my side at the expense of Milera who shirked a couple of contests on the weekend and has dropped in form each week.

If we were playing Richmond this week you might see the change but being Essendon may see him get one last opportunity to prove his worth, Milera that is

He cracked badly under the pressure with a game high 8 clangers, was a terrible turnover merchant who robbed us of momentum at crucial points on multiple occasions with local ammo level kicking. There's been no better demonstration of exactly how middle of the road as a player he truly is, and if you can't see that after the showdown you never will.

Lol

One of the best young inside mids in the game. What he is delivering for us at such a young age is incredible :)

He was also the highest ball winner on the ground. Of course you'd expect a few more clangers from a high possession guy.

He was influential last night in us winning the contested ball count, no doubt about it

Did you really just say that his 40 possession game can't have been inspiring when we only won by 2 points? If you ever wanted proof how anti-Crouch boys you are this is it.

Unless you think he could have beaten the opposition by more himself, you are totally discounting what his mates contributed or didn't.

You live in a pure fantasy land. He's a middle of the road player, always has been, always will be.

How many more excuses do you want to make for him? He didn't have more clangers because he got more of the ball, he had more clangers because he can't kick for shit.

No, I'm right, and as time moves along and continues to prove me so, people are having difficulty accepting that neither Crouch is the messiah they've spent the last 4 years pumping them up to be.

Yeah Otten will never be dropped blah blah blah we all have heard it before.

Otten doesn't play McGovern's role, he was filling in for Jenkins, he was rightly replaced in defence by Lever, and he will make way for Jenkins when fit
Will be interesting to see who gets dropped. Personally I do not think that Ottens will be dropped. JJ will take the place of McGoven
Whilst I like Milera, so far this year I don't think he has done much for us. Maybe in the first game. I would be looking to put him back to the two's and bringing in Menzel. I would also like to get Greenwood into the team to see what he can do at the top level.

One thing I don't want and that is to not give players a trial. We need to expose them and we also need to give them a sense of having a chance to play. If we don't select the fringe players we just might see them lose interest and want to move on. Players like Gore, Beech, Wigg, Greenwood to name a few and then there is Doedee. I am not suggesting that we give these guys a chance just for the sake of it but they do need to know that if they perform they will get a chance.

Our midfield is going quite nicely and Matty is having a big say in that. Your opinions are embarrassing but your well and truly anchored to them now!

You aren't right, you're not even close.

I don't know why you persist in this fantasy. The only players having a big say in how well our midfield is going are Sloane and Jacobs, the only four quarter performaners in there. Douglas, Atkins, Knight, Cameron, Mackay, Crouch are all popping up and contributing at times in their various ways, but not with any four quarter consistency. Milera has done very little.

You aren't right, you're not even close.

I am right, actually.
