I tried to navigate the ticket site to find out the cost - not easy to do and it appeared that the prices offered were upwards of $79 because they were Level2. Ridiculous - I'll take my chances with General Admission.
Had to pay $142 for nose bleed at the Gabba for our first game. That joint needs a Royal Commission for the prices they charge.
Needless, to say I didn't pay it.
But who would want to sit surrounded by clueless idiots singing crappy songs for 5 minutes after each Brisbane goal?

As BT would say … ****!!

Surely there's not going to be any need to upgrade. There was 29k there last time we played them. Easter Sunday will possibly cause a decent amount of people to not attend at as well. And Essendon's form isn't really an incentive for their fans to get to the game (as well as being smacked by 90 points twice last year).

Haven't seen anything about it being a fully ticketed game, so i'll just stick with general admission.

No need to upgrade, but we did get 35,500 last year against St Kilda.

Potential danger game if we stroll into this game thinking it's an easy win. Our system alone should be able to get it done.

These guys will be backs to the wall, need to treat it as such.

Bury them.
That was Essendons backs against the wall performance & they couldn’t put away a north side that completely stopped. We’ll be fine.

But I do hope we have no mercy. Percentage boosters are important.

If a massive win removes a Scott from the coaches box I say do it….

Especially when we don't get double-ups against the no-hopers this year (well, not any year really).

The teams that get double-ups against the Dons are:

Brisbane
Hawthorn
GWS
Melbourne
North
Port Adelaide

Basically gifting an extra 4 points to Brisbane & hawthorn.

Be interesting to see if the bombers can hit any targets coming out of our forward line if we all flood back and give them the easy kicks. Given, they turn it over with a minimum of pressure might worth a change of tactics this week to get the ball back before it hits our defensive 50.

If they get the ball past the flanks once we should be ashamed.

nah, stick to the plan. bed it in.

O'Donnell, Lobb and Khamis have stopped far better forwards this year (looking outside of tactics for a second) than Nate Caddy, Peter Wright and Archer May

Might be a good opportunity to practice last year's game plan that worked effectively against the bottom teams. Gives us the ability to play 2 modes should the opposition tactics adjust.

Or we could stick to what is working atm instead of falling back into bad habits for a plan we won't use vs good teams?

Personally I'd like to see how our attack works with the current plan vs a bottom 6 side before we change anything.

Also think some here are a little too overconfident about this game. Dangerous mentality, even the worst teams pull off an upset at times. Treat them like we would treat a good side, and be ruthless when the game is on our terms.

I suspect the mentality inside Whitten Oval is probably a far cry from BigFooty

Hoping the longer break will see Dale & Darcy have them feeling closer to 100%. Dale should try and beat last year’s effort and raise the bat this year.

Since the West Coast game a few years back it’s been difficult to think we are definitely going to win a game comfortably. But the way the boys put away all the bad teams with ease last year, allied to Essendon looking terrible, means that this should probably be a margin of over 15 goals.

That said, Essendon got it inside 50 at least on the weekend, they just couldn’t kick straight. Maybe they do on Sunday and it’s a little closer than we think - but I wouldn’t be looking at the Essendon line if it’s less than 70 points.

In terms of lineup, would be good to see Arty back. Otherwise I’m just hoping for no injuries and three votes for Bont. Taking my boys for the first time this year so hopefully the dogs put on a show.

No Setterfield either to hold Bont to 24 and 2 again either.

Yep. While their game against North was played to a woeful standard, it wasn't as if they were clearly a level below, and probably could have pinched it if they nailed a few set shots in the 1st half (and North missed a few of theirs). And they two late outs to their intended team, while we're missing Libba. North aren't much chop, but they've shown improvement. Yet Essendon matched them, and if they were truly the most woeful team in the league, even North would have broken it open against them.

What I will find interesting is if we play up tactics and give someone an unusual tagging role against Merrett. O'Sullivan did it for North, and Bevo has done similar before by using Gallagher to tag Daicos. He could get funky here in stopping Merrett/Parish I think.
