In all seriousness, given they're all forced changes, the only thing I'm unhappy about is no Minson.

Bevo is one stubborn dude.
Setting Boyd are for another week of hate. Watching Roughy and Boyd get dominated in the ruck by Stanley and Smith will be embarrassing. Watch them put it down danger and Selwoods throats all night.

Don't watch. But on the off chance we win you aren't allowed to watch the replay.

I don't finish work until 6pm my time so already miss most of the first half by the time I get home, I'll listen to it on the radio & hope to watch it on TV, but if it's getting nasty I might pull over & just cry in the foetal position for a while

As long as Roughy survives the game I'm not so stressed with that line up. But will need Wood, JJ, Roberts, Hammer and Biggs to stand up in the backline. Not stoked with Adcock in but he'll probably play well as we all don't want him in!
He seemed to play well for the Scray last week so maybe he will keep the form up o_O

Any body else losing faith in our medicos who more and more only give us half the story? As John Lennon said: "Just gimme some truth".
Like for the Lennon quote :p

A handful here were calling for Suckling to be dropped, so together with the outs of Morris, Wallis and Redpath from last week, nothing too unexpected. In fact, it was suggested that Moyd deserved a rest at some point. Minson has his critics, as does Collins and Webb following their appearances...Additionally, there were concessions that this week was already lost and that we should just focus on winning the winnable games between now and the finals and go 'all in' for the finals. Similarly, some were suggesting to be conservative and not rush the return of Dahlhaus and Stringer making the possibility of a blow out all the more likely. So why are so many posters so upset? We're not at full strength so we're clearly trying to do our best in the face of adversity. When not at full strength, there will always be fringe players who are making up numbers, but right now those fringe players can only be replaced by other fringe players.

These Dogs will still give their all and that's all we can ever hope for. I'd trade a few losses between now and the finals, for a win in the first week in the finals and beyond. Give me the best 22 we can field come week one of the finals and I think we'll still scare the pants off the other teams even if we finish 8th.

Maybe I'm an eternal optimist, but hey, I'm a Bulldog supporter. My optimism doesn't help the team on the field, but neither does being pessimistic.

Stringer is one player I would NOT play if he's only half fit. Not just because we can't afford him aggravating the injury but because it'll get to his head. Some players can play close to their best through pain/discomfort. Not sure Stringer can.

Let's hope he really is 99%+ fit.

Wow so Bev continues with this no forward line shit. Red goes down and we don't bring in another tall which means when Boyd rucks, no fing forward line. Which has worked really well this year. Don't get it

I don't mind Adcock in,not in the perfect world mind you but our current position is a long way from perfect. We rookie drafted him for a worse type situation scenario and that's pretty much what we now have. Not expecting to much but I doubt he'll play as bad as Suckling last week. Morris,Murphy and Boyd out of the backline means bringing in Adcock is wise especially with Suckling out as well.

Nice post.

Honestly though, if the Etihad turf died overnight I would not blink an eye. I can't help but suspect thats a contributor to our injury list.

Pretty conservative.....the only upside is we are fielding a bottom 8 strength team and Geelong have struggled with bottom 8 teams
Mwahaha...... Bev has come up with the solution!

Not sure that's fair, especially with the Wally and Red comment. I'm sure Stringer tries his hardest he just misplaces what he puts that effort into at times. I'm pretty confident he doesn't conciously want to take it easy.
I'm sure you're right. But he must consciously give four quarters, which we haven't seen for a while.

Stringer will be lined up with hits to his shoulder all game. Absolutely stupid to risk him considering he's been training one-armed all week, it's not tanking but no harm in damage control considering the week we've had.

When is the VFL team named? Hoping McLean is named as well for that

Although I'm not a fan of Adcocks, you can understand the reasoning for adding him into a side that is almost completely devoid of senior players. Just about anybody else in line for selection isn't going to help much in this regard.

Personally, I would've much preferred Minsons bullocking presence around the contests. Ćest la vie.
