they would be fine to come in as sub, so could mean only one comes in and the play as sub, if Atkins is named tomorrow he likely won't be sub, unless neither of these two play

Shaw 7th defender…sure he's tall for a 7th defender but he can also play 'small' if required, very agile and is better than Hendo as a pure defender.

Gives us a 'spare' tall in the team without slowing us down.

Don't mind it as long as it's an attacking role that helps run the ball and spread it wide and fast ...we play too narrow and slow and think Shaw could help , but needs to be well defined role ....

I know bad goal kicking is bad football but seriously Martin had a pretty good last year except for his finishing (which is better in the SANFL and I think would eventually transfer to AFL).

I'd play him ahead of Wright, VB, Mackay and depending on the role, even Henderson.

That actually doesn't mean he should play. It means the players you listed shouldn't play and we are in far bigger trouble then first thought.

Play him HF/Wing rotations, and if ever he bloody kicks straight he will be very damaging!

Give him the subs vest , at least he will come on and give some energy and kick 1 goal 2...... Even the game against freo he was massive in first quarter gets subbed and not sighted since ....while others are useless ....I'm.not suggesting he's the future and Atkins should play in front of him but they both probably should given the other options

Did a little dance when i saw vb out! Really didnt think it would happen! Really keen to see shaw come in, with hendo playing on the wing. Pods a chance to stretch ports depleted backline? I know he isnt a long term option, but you have to make moves to win games. Maybe this is his role this week. Look forward to a possible atkins debut but havnt seen heaps of him. Annnnnd im on the martin train. Respect what he does and got time for him! Hopefully wright out! The end.
