Except I'm not wrong. All you've done for 3 weeks is promote fiction and not offer a single shred of supporting evidence, not even a bit of sound reasoning. Nothing

Who could ever doubt you?

Just a quick question Mr Rabbit, if vB was a definite best 21 all season, surely you are outraged when he is dropped after putting in a similar performance last Saturday under very difficult circumstances? Please explain to us plebs why he was dropped.

P.S. When did Jarryd Lyons cut your lunch?

P.P.S. Why are you trying to make Vader look like a credible judge of footballers?

Martin can't finish in front of goals on a consistent basis. Everyone laments our goal kicking, but Martin is just as bad. Love his intensity and the fact he puts everything on the line, but he's not the answer.
This. Ticks all the boxes except the finishing box. 8 goals 15 behinds last year including missing a lot of clutch shots on goal. Fair sure last I paid attention he had kicked 1 goal 7 behinds in the SANFL this year. Gives his all but can't take the heat.

Problem is we have a lot of dead wood on our list....average players are staying in the side because we have a lot of average players in the SANFL. Draft sanctions are hurting

so hes just like everyone else then except he has intensity and puts everything on the line.

we've got enough injuries at the moment...we could do a lot worse than brodie under the circumstances.

Not when you have Atkins untried at AFL level and he's in just as good of a form patch in the SANFL.

VB would have only played last week due to the circumstances. It made sense for the club to play him last week, it was never based on form but more I would imagine for being a support network for the younger players who had made the trip.

Not only that, the game didn't need the extra attention of VB being dropped for it.

Pre/post game celebrations aside, I couldn't be less interested in this game.

I don't want to be a doomsdayer, but the script is predictable. Half their team will have career best games, just you watch.

Tend to agree with you.
We know POOrt play their socks off against us and should belt us the way we've been playing.
If we can overcome a return from the west, a rabid POOrt who played Thursday:rolleyes: and efficiently kick then we have a chance to put a big nail in their coffin....pigs could fly.

NTRabbit i think it's important to admit when I'm wrong. Apologies mate,
VB Omitted!

Can't knock North Adelaide for getting excited about a potential win. Looks like the last piece of the puzzle just fell into place.

Im hoping for

Atkins (sub)
Cameron
Shaw
Lyons

Out: Pods,Wright, Martin

Pods might play if they channel Sando and think that we can 'out-height' Port. He won't play in defence, they gave that idea up weeks ago in the sanfl. I wouldn't be surprised if they sacrificed speed and pressure for height by playing Pods. Why should we enjoy an apparent step worward. Surely it's a negotiated settlement that allows all parties to take something home either them.

No, average players stay in the side because that's the culture that we developed over the last 10 years.

We value role players and honest triers and treat them as indispensable, when they should be the players who make way for younger, potentially better, players.

Grigg
Kerridge
Lyons
Crouch

All of them have the potential to be quality AFL players; all of them have performed better, with limited opportunity, than incumbents who are selected week after week regardless of their performances.

I think Lyons will make it - plenty disagree with me; fair enough. But, given that he's been the dominate player in the SANFL for almost 3 years now, and we've had Thompson, VB and Wright (at minimum) struggle massively over that same period, why the hell hasn't it been proven either way?

Why do we insist on playing Wright, knowing he'll give us mediocrity, at best, when we have a guy who might be better waiting in the wings?

Playing 10 SANFL games isn't going to destroy Wright's career (it might actually salvage it); but not playing 10 AFL games might destroy that of Lyons; or result in him going to another Club, turning into a good AFL player, while we continue to persist with Wright.

It's poor player management and it's poor list management.

Don't remember Martin ever letting us down. Has pace, courage and is all heart. Never upset to see him selected. Has skills and the balls to take the game on.

Every time he misses a gimme goal after bustin his gut he lets us down. Has done it many times. But would still rather him than VB, but not ahead of some others.

I would feel the same way, but damn has his age gotten away from him. Definitely has courage, heart and balls but you might be overrating his pace and skills. In the years he spent lost in the wilderness with a ****ed knee he went from zippy youngster to genuine plodder, finds space because he reads the play well and works hard.

could have had a much stronger career had it not been for injury. Sadly though, even if he could offer more than Wright, VB, Mackay on any given week he's still just as much a stop-gap in the grand scheme of things.
