He's a 2nd year player. I'd have him ahead of Atley and Heppell.

I really like Conca, has a lot of smarts and is an important part of the Richmond midfield, kicking isn't any worse than Barlows for instance.

He's a real workhorse, Joel Corey type IMO.

Have to back you in (but not in respect to Heppell!). Certainly watching Conca play at Perth Footy Club his skills were great and his decision making even better. Yes you need players that are quick but you also need the smart footballers as well. Good footy player, hopped he would last until Freos pick.

Yep, I remember it came as quite a shock that Richmond pulled the trigger on him so early at pick 6, there's a reason he was highly rated. Would definitely be contributing more than who we chose at our first selection...

Pretty much my thoughts.. very meh

As suggested earlier by a Richmond bloke.. we tag Deledio same as last time, and Newman with the defensive forward.. watch the carnage occur with anyone else trying to bring it out of their back half

Cotchin is too good to tag and Martin will play 1 good quarter then go missing

They were our bogey side under Harvey when it felt like our gameplan was deliberately designed to let free-wheeling teams like Richmond score at will.

But the Lyon gameplan seems to be their kryptonite, and it appears no different now he's at Freo if our game earlier in the year is anything to go by.

Funnily enough, two seasons ago I would be rapt that Sandi is back but this week not exactly feeling relieved particularly with the way Griff and the structure works having him around. The main area having him back would be that instead of the fast shorter plays from kick ins that have benefited us in clearing the ball from the defence cleaner and quicker, Duffield (or whoever does the kick ins) may instead bomb it towards Sandi waiting on right 50 m arc.

Yep thinking the same. Whilst Sandi has had some great years for Freo I really believe he is way too predictable and thus easily countered/benefited from in his strengths by opposition. They have worked out how to easily beat him. He offers too little around the ground, is soooooo slow/immobile and easily run-off.

But Lyon's needs to play him and see how he can perform - problem is it's likely to cost games IMO.
