Out Powell for Wardlaw
Out McDonald for Hardeman (he was excellent in the vfl today)

Maybe Dovaston or Spargo out for Harvey to reward good vfl form. Doubt they do it given Harvey been playing defence. Banch and Konstanty were both poor in the vfl and don’t deserve a call up.

Pink and Dawson not great either so they don’t really deserve a game over Corr either.
Sorry. But we need to play The Kont and Banch. That will all our forward line problems. 😵‍💫

Ins pink Hardeman wardlaw Konstanty
Outs corr Powell dovaston spargo

Hardeman takes Zurhaars spot and Zurhaar moves forward to play powells role.

If Clarkson is serious about winning games (and he should be, he needs to be showing results this year) some players just need to given an extended spell n the twos:

Powell - banished to the twos until he shows some grit and consistency. His laziness without the ball is only matched by his laziness with it. This has been a 180 turnaround from the last few years, where he has been reliable with his disposal. Just not good enough.

In: Wardlaw

Dovaston - way off it. Just needs an extended time in the twos kicking bags and chasing.

In: Banch

McDonald - if getting caught, impeded, rundown was decided by a medal, this guy would be filling his trophy cabinet. Disposal has been overall reliable this year, but he cannot be relied upon when the oppo pressure rises and ours disappears.

In: Hardeman

Corr - just too many errors by foot and hand for this guy to be in the team.

In: Pink/Dawson/Whitlock. Don’t really give a f*ck.

B: Zurhaar - Logue - Parker
HB: Hardeman - Chom - McKercher

C: Simpkin - FOS - Stephens

HF: Sheezel - Larkey - Duursma
F: Banch - Trembath - Curtis

R: Xerri - Wardlaw - LDU

I: Darling - Daniel - Whitlock/Pink - Spargo - Blamires

I think the three players most under the gun this week with selectors will be McDonald, Powell and Dovaston.

On McDonald, it's been a longtime coming. He's off the pace at this level, Hardeman's the obvious replacement. Powell has lost all confidence and needs a long spell and Dovaston was simply overawed. Can't see them playing him against Sydney.

George W will come in and likely Konstanty.

There are others but Clarko has never been into huge changes.

Just a matter of time.

JK only played a half no?

McDonald has been solid tbf, but was really found out last night. Hardeman should come in for sure. Dovaston had like 43% game time - kinda suggests he's out next week. Tommy Powell - jeepers, he's a good footballer but paling into insignificance. Zurhaar is another all at sea, well, more lost at sea in the backline, but he has no future in our forward line, imo.

Too many changes to make in one week as the selectors have been reluctant to move some on recently, but three that I think should happen and aren't unreasonable:

McDonald to pass the torch to Hardeman, hopefully for good.

Dovaston to go develop in the twos for Banch or Konstanty. JK can play a role but Banch deserves a proper run based on VFL form.

Powell out for Wardlaw. Blamires to stay.

Lmac is solid when we are winning or when he has a performing team around him - it's not enough. He's solid when we expect no drive out of him but that can't be the case when he is standing next to Logue, Corr & Comben - which is a problem. Move should be made now.

Powell & Zurhaar are in the same category - being played out of position because "good enough" but it's not enough. Even though I don't overly think Konstanty or Banch are the answer I'd have either of them or a similar type in over Powell and absolutely in over Dovaston.

Oh I agree, LMac and Zurhaar need moving on. Imo. Powell I like, but as I mentioned earlier, he is paling into insignificance. Both of JK and Banch offer more run and pressure, individually and collectively. And more discipline. Imo. They may not be the answer .... we're still searching for that though.

When was the last time we beat the Swans ? and the last time we beat them at Marvel ?

( 19 men on the ground, interchange iinfringement & swans trainers filling up space aside )

2018 I think 😰 but that was in Sydney, looks like we had a draw in 2008 at Telstra Dome.

People coming in real hard on Dovaston. Each week he is getting closer to being in the right spots and having some nearly moments. Was perhaps two bad bounces / bad handpasses to him from a couple of goals. Also, he played like 40 odd percent game time. If you watch footy enough, the you would be able to see it and see that if North persist with him in the ones, then he will be a damaging small fwd sooner as opposed to later.

One player who deserves to be sent back is Tom Powell. Cannot put up with his laziness anymore. He has no turn of speed and looks low on confidence, fumbling when he normally wouldn't.

what happened again? I would have had babybrain back then.
Swans decided they didn't want to lose so their tagger ran on the ground as an extra. AFL media said it was our fault for somehow not noticing, then for some strange reason they introduced a rule to ensure it wouldn't happen to other teams.

Very much not convinced yet Banch is the long term answer but he absolutely 100% knows where to be and gets there - which is a big issue for plenty of our players.

Too bloody long. Someone will know but was 2018 the Mason Wood 4 goal game ?

2008 draw ? 17 years ago ? T.B.L.again.

And l have no doubt it will happen again.
It’s our flag anniversary game, and there will be a lot of the 1996 crew there. Embarrassing on many levels if we totally poop the bed. But hey, that’s never stopped us before 😆
