On first impressions Adams & Greenwood were pretty poor. Greenwood did play on one of the best players of the last decade though, so may deserve some slack. I'm pretty close to over seeing Adams miss shots from 35m out. He doesn't get enough of the ball to be that unreliable, and yes, I know he does plenty of team work and 1%ers, at some point it's not quite enough.

Really disappointed with Patch this year... seems to be totally out of form and confidence. He was never going to be a superstar, but was always a good C grade player who'd pop up and kick a goal a game. Woeful tonight - must drop.

Feel so sorry for Patch. Last night I watched closely at the centre bounce. IF we won the clearance we had Patch and Boomer at CHF ! I have lost count of the number of times we use these two as 'marking forwards'. Patch is a little rover who should be at the fall of the ball or a link man around the middle or wings. I honestly couldn't fathom what Black, Petrie and Tarrant tell the players round them to do when they wait for a centre bounce after a goal. The set up is diabolical!

I find it amazing that all you blokes say that half the team are great VFL players....but crap AFL players or not up to scratch..then call for the same changes i.e. TAZ who last week you were screaming he's the one...interesting that they all play well in the VFL but go up to the 1st and suck...could it be...just throwing it out there it is a coaching issue...game plan issue...selection...or poor club spirit issue...there are some brilliant players that are just not performing and it can't be because they are all good VFL'ers.

Patch's confidence is shot. He missed a straight forward shot on goal because instead of backing himself he looked for a handball which wasn't on and then had to rush his kick. He later turned it over in the most stupid fashion. He's on the cusp of a return to seconds footy.

Quite amusing how perceptions to the changes thread has progressed throughout the year.
Was fairly unimportant round 1,2 and 3. We were debating whether so and so should debut or not.
After round 6 the knives were out as we lost to undermanned West Coast and Sydney.
We all thought the balance and mix was wrong. Which one of us thought that wed change gameplans 2 months in also. And that the players confidence and form would be shot?
Well here we are 5 mediocre performances later and undergoing that change and its fair to say i admire those giving their input on who should go and should not. Stick tough.

The players performing at VFL players are not going to make us better. There is no one we have tried and seen that is going to improve us.
Im referring to Anthony, Warren, Garlett, Campbell.
I would like to see what Hansen can bring but Im not holding my breath.

What kills me is that the whole year we have had a full list of players to pick from. And the results we have seen is all we have got to show for it. Laughable to say the least.

I would draw a line through Anthony even on todays performance in the VFL, Garlett, Greenwood and Warren for this year.
I would like to see Adams, Bastinac, Cunnington, Harper, MacMillan and Ziebell all given a program and stint in the twos where they work on their deficiencies. Adams kicking is poor. Bastinac does not impact the play enough. Cunners and Ziebs need to get their gametime up. Harper and MacMillan need to dominate at VFL level for a couple of games to get their rhythm flowing once more.
Collingwood dropped Beams last year for the granny and look whats happened to him. I wish we had that luxury.
Enough nurturing. We need to get tough.

On a side note as many have suggested, Wright and Atley have flourished down back and that is a credit to them both. Along with the Delaneys they are good signs for the year thus far.

Not so sure how valuable Grima and Spud are to our defence right at the minute also. 2010 seems like a long time ago and both lack pace for the size they are and are not big enough to play KP. Real worry now and doesnt look like improving at all.

Would like to see Hansen play whilst the season is still alive. Dont want to see junk games being given to him.
Pederson also. I would play him against the better teams to see if he can perform at a high quality level and not just beat up on the lesser teams, as the common perception around here is.

More of Mullet and Speight would be great also. They are just what we need right at the minute with a plethora of games at Etihad coming up. Those two could provide the spark and X factor that could change the season.

Will need more run against the crows and need more height down back. Harper has done sweet f.a for the last few games and could do with a spell. Hansen to full back. Black only dropped because we need more runners and because Tarrant can still swing back if we really need him too. Richo been in the bests two weeks in a row. Deserves another crack he can start as sub. Mullet and edwards not doing enough to earn a recall.

Where is campbell? We could do with his leg speed right now! Dare I say it throw him on a hbf and see what he can do on the rebound

Greenwood to go to Thompson, Gibson to play on Sloane. Ziebell, dangers head to head.

Hansen takes tippet. Thompson talks walker. Goldstein and narni cut off everything that comes in!

Board continues to confuse me in its selective application of the "shit delivery" defense.

Newsflash: our delivery has been complete and utter garbage all year, with two exceptions - the GWS and Geelong games. (....cough....I note a certain out-of-favour Forward kicked 5 and 4 respectively in those games...cough....)

Yet bafflingly, shit delivery remains a mitigating factor only for some ?? Yeah, that doesn't seem painfully transparent at all.

I dont bother to try to hone in on Brad Scotts rationale with his selection criteria because I´m starting to lose faith with his direction. Sad but true.
