Changes Vs Essendon

A pretty decent effort by most today I thought, but:

OUT:
SIMMONDS: Did nothing today, can't find the football. Is simply passed it
RAINES: Yuk, yuk, yuk! Showed Erbert no respect and his skills were poor
BOWDEN: Unfair perhapes, but he had a pretty poor game imo.

IN:
PATTISON: Is better then Simmonds
THURSTFIELD: Need a fullback, simply as that. Moore and McGuane were mauled by Tredrea which meant Bowden had to do the job
RIEWOLDT: Simply need a bigger fullfoward to square us up. 6 goals for Coburg yesterday

Lucky: Polo (2 gutless efforts), Morton (brainfade which lost us the game)

I dont think it was Mortons brain that cost us, I think the decision was correct. How he managed to shank it the way he did I will never know. A behind at least would have kept the pressure on we would have had more of a chance to turn it over, mark or a couple scrappy ball ups game over. Is Morton good enough, really? Shows flashes but f***.

I prefer Polo over Moore. He does his job. I'm not too bothered by his 1 mistake today. He didn't chicken out of a contest imo. Sometimes it's better to not over exert and wait for an error if you don't think you'll be able to get to a contest in time to spoil. Moore is mistaken a KPP when he isn't

For mine, Moore is supposed to provide far more drive off half back than he does. I've barely noticed him this year.

Are you all assuming in's and outs on todays performance or are they the best for next weeks match-ups?

Essendon are a fast moving attacking game style that requires logical changes if any.

Who's to play on Lloyd, Neagle, Ryder, Watson, Lovett, Monfries, Stanton, etc...........etc...........etc...........?

You are all as bad as Wallace, playing for week to week not the big picture.

If you are happy to play players that are not doing anything at all weekly, then you are exactly like Wallace.

Some players DESERVE to be dropped. This is not a free ride.

This is a good post. Today was heart breaking but in the wet it was probably our best game for the season if not it was our second. Our forward line structure looked dangerous and Brown was reading the play well. Pettifer will be better next week and he looked alright today dropped a few he should have held but played his part. (I worry for him though he reminds me so much of Rory Hilton will fill gaps for the rest of the year but I think it might be his last if they are looking to freshen the place up).

I do hope that Thursfield comes in. I also think that they should persist with Polo he can definatly play needs to get himself going and I reckon would be a regular senior player now if he was learning and playing his early footy in a better team.

You would think Reiwoldt in but who for? Maybe Simmo but we need him in the ruck, on the reals.

Cant believe the Bowden hate I am hearing. Would have been a lot worse today without him. Helped get us back into it by keeping Tredrea quiet, is tough and uses it well. I dont think he deserves blame. And to say that Patto uses it well is streching the truth he is a player that is in strife unless he uses the remainder of the season to really step up. Simmonds better option even with age.
