OUTS
Simmonds - Did nothing last week after his decent four goal effort against the Lions
Cousins - Injured
Bowden - Not big enough for the other tall defender

Ins
Pattison - Direct swap for Simmonds, hopefully he and Gus can get some form working the ruck together
Thomson - Direct swap for Cuz, was in Coburgs best, but under an injury cloud?
Connors - If Thomson is injured then Connors to get a crack at it
Thursfield - Come in for Bowden

I can't see who Jack comes in for, he should definately be selected this week, don't think Morton deserves to go back out right away, but pettifer and brown played well and can do his role so he might go for Jack

OUT
Cousins - Injured.
Polo - No presence on the field.
Simmonds - It was wet and not ideal for him but he has to be exceptional not just tall to keep his spot now.
Raines - Wasn't ready, should never have been called up.
Bowden - No longer necessary.

IN
Thomson - In for Cousins.
Edwards - Always a better option than Polo imo.
Pattison - Playing mainly forward, relieving ruckman.
Riewoldt - FF needs to learn how to lead and at worst should be causing the ball to go to ground for our little blokes to pilfer.
Thursfield - We need a negating backman for Lloyd.

Outs: Cousins (inj) Collins

In: Thursfield and McMahon

Might get shot down here but riewoltd should be made to work his arse off like schulz has been, schulz went back and kiicked 7 and couldnt get back into the team , same goes for riewoltd

Id bring in mcmahon who usualy is a very skilled player and he has leg speed which will be handy against the dons.

Thursfield in which then allows us to play Bowden up the forward half and at least get him being one of the guys distributing the pill to blokes like morton, nahas, brown pettifer

The dons are a pretty quick side and it all starts from the back half, no point having a riewoltd down forward he isnt a KPP and whilst schulz can take contested marks he hasnt been consistant. I think our forward line worked pretty well together on the weekend and its actually a pretty agressive forward line , brown and morton kick some wonderfull goals, nahas is a jet, pettifer can kick them from long range.

Id go with
B: Moore, Thursfield, Raines
HB: Polo McGaune, Newman
C: Tambling, Tuck,Deledio
HF: Cotchin, Bowden, Brown
F: Morton, Pettifer, Nahas
R: Graham, Foley, Coughlan
Int: McMahon, White, Simmonds, Jackson

I prefer Polo over Moore. He does his job. I'm not too bothered by his 1 mistake today. He didn't chicken out of a contest imo. Sometimes it's better to not over exert and wait for an error if you don't think you'll be able to get to a contest in time to spoil. Moore is mistaken a KPP when he isn't

Moore's actually our best key position defender. Very easy to pick the key defensive players out and fault them when the ball was coming in like it was.

Thursfield has great closing speed.. but that game on the weekend was made for tanks. He would have been mauled as bad as the other two guys we had on the ground. Our tank in the making was out with a head injury. The back half isn't the problem.

Polo looks to be more easily replaced.
