Agree.

Never translated with Carey, voss, D Jarman, the list goes on.

I think for some it's hard to explain things that just came naturally. Especially when they themselves never even understood how they did it.
They say the best coaches are half back flankers, think Sheedy, Clarkson and Malthouse, because they're overly not blessed with talent so have to think about their game, can see the play unfolding from a good vantage point, and have defensive mind sets. Hart may be the exception.

Not so much the position but the need to work hard to succeed. It frustrated me seeing talented players rock up to training and do the minimal while those not blessed with talent busted their arses on the track. Dropping those talented players certainly helped me feel better and those less talented appreciate that their hard work got noticed

No? What was it?
Roo's exact words -
"There’s no doubt we made a couple of mistakes in our program at the start of the year trying to improve our players in our strength area and it backfired." (backfired? - oh you think Roo?)

"a poorly planned pre-season" - Roo said nothing about the (entire)pre-season being poorly planned. He mentioned one/couple aspect/s where they got it wrong. You could loosely say it was 'a poorly planned pre-season' and get all the clicks it was designed to amass, but it had nothing to do with what it implied.

At first glance it sounds like the crows went into the season with a poor planning process, when in actual fact it had nothing at all to do with how they planned.

The content of the planning is the talking point, and by the catastrophic results it's clear that the wrong plan was indeed very thoroughly planned, not poorly planned by any stretch of the imagination.

Contrary to the claim Roo admitted to the pre-season being poorly planned, Roo admitted nothing of the sort.

Happy to clarify that for you, 7 News Adelaide, and anyone else who gets sucked in by click bait.

subaru, do I qualify for The Pedant Society with this one?:)

Correct, and I think he should be moved on. I'm just not as convinced he's as bad as some people would believe.

Campo and Hart are much bigger worries IMO.
I wonder if with his AFLW appointment if he is not either being moved out or IMO more likely reduced capacity to part time role where he is more just a Ruck coach and not have any real role in strategy and stoppage tactics.

It’s one thing to say he will look after the women as it’s a different timed season but that is a time that a lot of work goes into these areas and also if that work is happening he can’t give the women job all it needs.

That to me says he has a big change in AFL role structure to go with it

We are really going to miss Laird today.
Hoping Tex can restore some spark and "order" into our forward line.
I just want the 4 points.
Go Crows
he's been our best player this year so yes we will miss him - shame there is no-one we could blood in his position.
