O'Brien and Wilson are named in the SANFL team today, so looks like Otten and Gooch are emergencies. Weird though, the SANFL article mentions O'Brien and Wilson returning while Otten and Murphy are unavailable due to AFL selections, but no mention of Gooch. Maybe they got Gooch and Murphy confused?

Tex kicked two goals in the GF

Yes, of 8 for the team in the GF, and 54 for the season.
Not too shabby, not to mention his many goal assists along the way. Tex is/was a lock for selection.
There was a quarter-and-a-half period when Richmond kept us goalless in the GF, our midfield was killed and their defensive pressure in their F50 was superb, during which Tex and the forwards in general were starved of opportunities.
In 2 quarters (2 and 3) we kicked 1.8 to their 9.5.
What's your point, please? Do you think Tex was to blame for our GF loss?

He was part of 20-odd reasons why we lost the GF.
You mentioned two goals is having an impact, he kicked two in the GF and nobody can argue in any way that Walker had an impact in that game.

With Sandi out, I would be very tempted to play Ottens ahead of Jacobs & use him & JJ in the ruck... to freshen Jacobs up with a 6 day break to the Hawks who have 2 ruckmen.

Won't happen though as 1970crow is correct with some of his continuity calls.

Yeah, I wasn't clear enough.
2 goals/game = 23 + 3 finals x 2 = 52 goals, but you're right --- 2 goals might be part of BOG, might be meh. Depends on game.

I think Tex being in is important from a leadership perspective as no-one else really seems to stand up and make their presence felt. He also seems to make the forward line function better even he is not kicking goals as at least he directs what's going on. It's a shame we don't seem to have anyone that can really change a game when it's needed.

Plus a thought on ROB, maybe he is totally disillusioned as he just doesn't get given a go at all under any circumstances.

And one last thing, I wish our midfielders could shark the taps off Sauce like the opposition players do.

Looking at him today he looked to be carrying his shoulder again, I suspect it's not 100%.

Correct, and I think he should be moved on. I'm just not as convinced he's as bad as some people would believe.

Campo and Hart are much bigger worries IMO.
