I have no doubt, if he hadn't have got injured, LJ would have been playing post Walker and even possibly if Walker was still fit. Our forward line hasn't functioned that well for most of the year so it would have been ludicrous (after Walker went down) to have a guy kicking bags in the SANFL each week and not come in.
To say he is completely out of favour at the crows is a simplistic view.
Vader,Vader, Vader........................
Sydney was so convinced that LJ couldn't play that they offered him another 2 year contract. Ultimately they had plenty of key forwards at the time and were naturally expecting $KIRT to get home sick. Do you think that Sydney are poor judges of a footballer?
Our selectors have lacked vision regarding our younger players. Lynch is too slow and too short to play as the third tall forward so they ignore him all last year despite great form at the nBay. They eventually give him a go and find that he fits in beautifully.
Same story with Lyons, Crouch is pidgeonholed as an inside mid so is played sparringly. He is eventually played on the wing and looks fantastic.
Once LJ has played 3 or 4 games in a row then you and others can examine the evidence and make a judgement based on the facts.
