To be honest, it shouldn't matter who's in, who's out, who's plays for them and who doesn't, if we don't come out fired up and angry, I'm giving up on our season.

Thursday was a dead set embarassment. A shameful, insipid performance because we didn't want to be there and it all looked to hard. I would go so far as saying we gave up and threw in the towel.

So, I don't care what Melbourne have done or could do. What do we stand for as a club? Are we one hit wonders? Do we want to be taken seriously or are we going to drift off into mediocrity again? Time to make a stand.

Did everyone else watch the member video Bev sent after the Swans game? Gave the impression we were just going to get back to basics to rediscover our form, and I hope that includes himself. Love Bev, but he has tried to be a bit cute this year.

Really hope this game propels our season

Couldn't agree more. That performance in Sydney was the worst performance by a mile under Beveridge. Worse than the final round she mozzies in Brisbane and Perth as we at least should we cared in those games. If we don't come out fired up on Sunday we will lose a huge amount of face amongst the football world.

There could be a few players whose careers be on the line IMO, Bevo sounds like he is no mood to compromise- Picken, Biggs and Suckling come to mind here.

Edit: add Cloke and MBoyd to that list.

Picken's career is on the line? Get a grip.

Taking form in the VFL vs Essendon as a guide, Cordy, Honey, Webb ,Williams and Libba should be considered.
Libba is a horses for courses must vs Melbourne this week.
Redpath dropped too many marks and his second efforts were pitiful.

Biggs wasn't to bad on the weekend and Pickens out of form but I doubt his career is on the line just yet.

I'm all for players being 'versatile' but if I was a gun mid, I would be pretty p*ssed with being thrown into the ruck or constantly having my role shuffled around. What Bevo says goes, but does anyone get the feeling the players want a sense or normality and less cute tactic nonsense?

Out : Handballing back into congestion
In: Men of Mayhem

Edit: Serious Ins, we have a distinct lack of mongrel at the moment. Cordy and Libba must come in.

Shiggsy's career is on the line? One of our best last week. If we let him go another team would snatch him up in a heartbeat.

Get a grip.

Libba won't be considered if he still can't find touch in the seconds.

There's plenty wrong with our stoppage setup but stacking inside mids isn't going to fix it.

What I don't understand is why we changed our stoppage setup to begin with? I understand that we need to keep evolving - but surely that needs to be balanced with doing what has worked for us in the past. It obviously worked against top quality opposition in the finals last year - so why were we so quick to change?

Handballing into congestion - my pet peeve.

Not sure who is telling them 'Listen fellas, I want you to handball 15 metres back to a bloke just as he's about to get nailed' and 'if you're under pressure in defence, just keep handballing and if one doesn't work, try another and then another'. Needs to be a Plan B.

Clubs are smart and have worked out our handball happy game.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when Libba senior is chatting to his boy about how his footy is going. Wonder what he'd be saying!

Mass coaching structure up

Smithy to VFL from backline
Hansen to forwards from VFL
King to backline from ruck
Gia to midfield from forwards

Is what I'm aware of (not sure who's ruck coach now or senior assistant)

Melbourne might bring in Gawn amd Hogan.. certainly Gawn will play
Works in our favour if they play. They'd be massively underdone. I doubt Hogan plays but sounds like Gawn is likely. 8 weeks out and straight back in without VFL? Good luck to them

I guess we'll find out this weekend if there has really been a culture change at the club, because last week made me really doubt it. With people like Jack Macrae, Mitch Wallis, Marcus Bontempelli and Luke Dahlhaus at the club, we just shouldn't have games like that. ever.

It is Time

Put up or shut up
It is not what you say it what you do
Selfish people achieve nothing you must be selfless and do it for your team mates

Lose this week and the season is in tatters

Lets all breath now.
