The lack of forward line and someone to help out young Darcy is a bit frightening. Genuinely thought Taberner should have come in over Kersten. Not that either are that great but I feel like Tabs is the better of the two.

I don't think Kersten will play either. I hope not - he certainly doesn't deserve a recall.

As others have said I think Fyfe will play primarily forward and we'll choose extra run over height up forward. I get the whole tall forwards and structure argument but we have a long list of things to work on and you don't have to work on them all at one. IMO fast and targeted inside 50 entries will have more impact on our ability to score than picking one or more below average tall forwards to try and have an impact. In other words, our forward line will still suck no matter who lines up in it.

If we prefer a bloke that's none next to nothing for the year, especially **** all for the last 5 weeks and borderline useless in the WAFL over Taberner then the selection committee clearly think Taberner doesn't have a lot of future at the club.

Maybe another team has offered him a contract next year? He is no superstar but draws a defender and occasionally clunks a contested mark. There are a few Vic teams that could use that and he has only played 50 games so it is not like he is a proven 100 game spud.

Might explain why he gets no look at it when he really should be (based on team balance and forwards performance).

I do had the same feeling, I see him becoming a Liam jones kind of player if he go elsewhere. Carlton might get him if they lost casboult when tab delisted by freo .

No team will do trade with freo ( depth player ) . Mayne deal is once in a lifetime. Tiger will rather get casboult or will wait for Tab to be delisted and get him .

Sounds like Tabs needs a really good agent that will continually talk him up, pick and choose the stats that make him sound better than he is, give countless reasons *cough*excuses*cough* why he hasn't performed to his potential at Freo, advocate for how critically important contested marks are and that Tabs is as good as anyone at those. Now if only he could find someone like that.... hmmmm...?!?
