Only thing now is that we have no tall backs apart from Morris, and they have 3? tall forwards in Waite, Petrie and brown. I'm scared.

Z. Cordy and Hamling are light, but very long and athletic. Wood will be there too to help in the air. It's about the defensive structure which was killing teams before the Eagles game, not the 1 on 1s. Get that right and we win, with a big help due to how much running power we will have.

I'm not sure. Rat's more polished, but he's totally melted even at VFL level. I'm backing the kid in 100% but it just doesn't seem to be his year.

Surely we can't take Roughy out of the ruck for long periods. Honey and Picken are key ins.

We need constant pressure on their users and Wood and Boydy to chop them off.

Gotta love Bev backing the kids. Love Z in, will be our best defender eventually IMO. Love Webb in, his foot is lethal needs to get more of it. Great to see rough back.

Honey is interesting. His intensity fwd could be key - hope he can finish better.

Seem a tall short assume Moz to play tall again.

We could be chopped up aerially but Bev is backing us to do to Norf what WC did to us I suppose.

Unlike others, I don't think these changes solve our obvious weaknesses. No established ruckman against the best in the comp and only Hamling to counter the North talls. Bev may have had the midas touch for most of the season but the lack of talls in defence may inflict mortal wounds for us against North's lineup.
It appears Minson's papers have been stamped, perhaps even Hrovat's, but I think both may have been better options for this game in particular.

Congratulations Zaine!!

Been impressed with what I have seen of him at VFL level. Personally I would have played Fletch this week instead with Talia out injured, and given Zaine a run next week at the Gabba, but I am not going to question Bev & the MC.

Wonder how Jarrad Grant has pulled up after his nose was reconstructed - may see a late change with Tom Boyd replacing him if he doesn't come up. We would miss Granty's transitional running though.

North really do have a vanilla lest. They have 0 players injured from their best 30 odd (Thomas out but may have been dropped anyway and Wells back playing VFL). Their depth guys in Bastinac, Nahas, Jacobs, Macmillan, Gibson, Garner, Hansen etc just don't scare me and their midfield is better with Ziebell back but their key guys like Swallow and Cunnington just are not that good, especially considering they call themselves " contenders".

Norf don't scare me, vanilla, middle of the pack team who don't have any injury concerns and are still below our team full of star young kids on the ladder. Bring it on.

Unless there's actually a late injury withdrawal I don't see Bev as the type to play silly buggers. Boyd wasn't great from most reports Friday night against the Bombers. I won't be disappointed if he does come in, I love the boy but I just don't think it will happen.
