I'm interested on Boyd & Suckling. Their injuries could mean a few weeks. That or Bev just didn't want to put down 'omitted' for a rest

Yeah it's hard to know where they're at. Achilles injuries scare me so if they're not 100% I'd err on the side of caution.

Pretty important game though. I get that we want players to be fit for finals but lose this game and we're basically no chance to earn a home final. Considering most of the teams jockeying for positions ahead of us are interstate teams, that's a problem. If they're fit they just have to play.

I'm in the bring in Minson camp even though I think he has quite a lot of negatives. But we need Roughy to be able to swing back and frankly he looks to be playing hurt and we really need him right come finals

agree 100%. Must throw everything at this game. No point saving guys for finals if it means a trip over to Perth

Whatever happens over the rest of the season, I'd pick Cordy over Roberts if both are fit.

Cordy has 'it' and Roberts hasn't. Might as well admit that and get games into the former. Even if his running gait and kicking style remind me a lot of another player who used to be on our list. That fella who played a couple of games in the ruck at the start of 2015.

But Minson doesn't actually jump. He just stands there, waits for the opposition ruckman and then sticks an arm out. This ALWAYS leads to a free kick against Minson.

We are running out of players full stop. Hawkins and Stanley made our backline look like dwarfs (Biggs v Stanley WTF?). Add another 2 tall forwards for North and Roughy has to go down back. I don't care if Minson gives away a few free kicks - as long as he makes the most of them.

I thought Adcock was ok he Wasn't our worst player.

If we must play f$cking Jong get him out of the midfield he is disgusting. Cracking in isn't enough and I don't care how hard any player tries if they are cr@p.

We will not win games with him in the midfield it's basically playing 3 on 4.

I simply cannot wait until he is gone I can't stand watching him another week

If I heard correctly Bev was very ambivalent about Moyd and Suckling returning.

It will be interesting to see the impact of not having Macrae. He runs all day and provides options. Who can take over that role? I think it will really hurt us.

Libba going down is a crushing blow. He provides leadership and inspiration by example. I reckon we'd have won last night if he hadn't done an ankle.

Anyone keen on McLean? Will be interesting to see how he goes in the VFL this weekend.

I thought Adcock was pretty good and should stay this week. Even with all the injuries I don't think Jong and Stevens can play in the same team at all. I'd go with Jong but I know most would go with Stevens but I'm generally not fused,just not both.
Not sure when any of the injured players will be back but I want be paying to much attention to what the club says to be honest.

Im watching this VFL game and I wouldn't say Hrovat is tearing it up, but he looks better than anyone else. Overall, the whole side looks like they would struggle to beat West Footscray seconds. I suppose with all these injuries though, it was bound to happen.

Bont and Libba seemed to be the onfield leaders setting the standard last night, as if they wanted to honour their fallen comrades. Loved their aggression.
Woody - I think the captaincy is weighing more heavily on him each week, with all his fellow defenders disappearing one by one - Moyd, Moz, Adams, Suckling, Murphy. Biggs and Roberts try hard but it seems JJ is not fit. Woody must feel totally responsible for the back end having to cope with a different defence team every week that he has to monitor.

Half time in this VFL game, much better quarter by the dogs, only 10 points down. Webb & Hrovat really staking a claim for next week. Toby Mc Lean also starting to find the ball, and looking a standout. Minson trying very hard, been ok.

It only sounded like a rest for Boyd and Suckling this week so I'm confident they'll be back. Cordy keeps his spot if any of the three backs don't get up, Adcock as well if two of them don't get up. Roughy is trying hard in the ruck but is fighting a losing battle by himself, I think its been time for Minson to come in for a few weeks now but we need to go hard at Goldy who has been banged up a little this season. McLean comes straight back if he gets through today's game. He'll be a welcome inclusion to our forward structure. Wouldn't be against Webb or Hrovat coming in, they'd probably need to come in for Stevens or Jong.

Be interesting. Wonder if we will try and use the speed a bit more while we have youth coming through over the next few weeks to replace injuries. Got that vibe last night
