Fortunately he has come good.

Smith hasn't & is injured yet we still pick him.

The selectors are deadset morons!

For this reason & no idea game plan there is no light at the end of the tunnel under Nicks.

I have seen enough.
I honestly think Nicks goes the way of Sando by maybe round 15, I do not think he’s coaching us beyond this season. I reckon the rumblings don’t properly start until we sit 3-8 or something equally as poor by mid season.

Given the board just extended him for no good reason for 2 years, some of them need to fall on their sword as they have confirmed they are poor at making key decisions.

This club needs a circuit breaker & that is more than just removing the senior coach given his recent extension.

Were there any changes to the board when we re-signed Sando and then sacked him 9 months later?

Don't think so.

Chapman was the least accountable chairman of all time.

He protected mediocrity at all costs.

Exhibit A - Trigg.

Pedlar for McHenry is just obvious
Crouch for Laird (Laird sub and Sholl out)
Toby Murray for ROB, don’t care how that happens, maybe dress him up like ROB or something

Laird is nowhere near being discussed in terms of his spot in the 22. There’s multiple positions he’ll be deployed to before any consideration of his best 22 status occurs. Are you new to supporting our club?

Dowling can't be ignored at this point.
Trust me he can be by our clueless section committee.

They have proven it over & over...

Unfortunately, tonight was the end of Brayden Cook’s crows career. I’ve been all for him being given a go, and his skills are sublime, but he just doesn’t try hard enough. Simple as that. Luke Jericho. Lewis Johnston. And now Brayden Cook. Bye.

Laird offers absolutely nothing. He doesn’t even win clearances anymore (13 players had more clearances than Laird tonight). His kicks inside 50 are diabolical. His handballs create nothing. Should not be in the team, it’s not even debatable.

Brodie Smith is a complete and utter mess. He has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. None. Mentally shot. Elevating him to the leadership group was bizarre and he’s not only not up to that title, but he’s not up to being an AFL footballer. Career over.

McHenry is an embarrassment to the club. The fact that he was selected in the starting 22 tonight after his worst on ground disgrace last week should be all the evidence anyone needs that Nicks and co have no idea what they’re doing.

Sholl’s missed tackle just outside 50 for Essendon in the 4th quarter summed up his entire career. Why on earth do we ever pick him?

Out:
Berry (inj), Cook, Smith, McHenry, Sholl (none of those 4 omissions should ever play for the club again)

In:
Crouch, Dowling, Curtin, Taylor, Pedlar

Sub:
Pedlar
I’ve been a big advocate for Cook and I’d give him 2 more games since we’ve had no issues gifting games consistently.
That way you can be sure he’s a delist.
A player should get a block to at least have a good crack at it.

Dowling can't be ignored at this point.
We're pretty straight-laced with how we do things.

Dowling and Pedlar were emergencies last week. They would be the two closest to a call up. Himmelberg was an emergency too but we always name a potential ruckman in there just in case.

Berry for Crouch is obviously happening, and I think we might see Sholl in on the wing for Cook who will be dropped.

Not sure what happens with McHenry, maybe he goes to sub, maybe Pedlar comes in.

I have too, but he was legit worse than McHenry against the Bombers, and a lot of it was effort-based. I think he’s gone. I wouldn’t be opposed to him being selected because he actually has a lot of talent (unlike the majority of our list) but I just don’t think they’re going back there again.

Is McBean playing today? Can’t put Curtin on him as two things will happen:
1. McBean will kick 10
2. It will destroy the lad for the season
So what did that waste of space do? He played Curtin on McBean. He kicked 6 goals om him but honestly our entire defence was under the pump apart from the last quarter. Dowling again played a fair game along with patches from Pedler. Zac Taylor is another that should get games in the seniors soon. He has some real talent.

I'm sick of McHenry. His tag on Merrett was him tugging his jumper off the ball.
McHenry was so (in)effective that Merrett was b.o.g.

Upcoming Selectors' meeting:
Some assistant, bravely saying what we all know:
"Ned had another poor game, and maybe ..."
Nicks (interrupts):
"I agree, maybe we should give him another chance. After all, he runs our pattern/shape so well and, geez, he tries so hard. His jumper-pulling off the ball was elite ... <<rant, rave>> ".

We will see minimal changes as the coaches love continuity and they’d be shit scared of not playing an experienced side and losing to North, if that was to happen we would have officially hit rock bottom with 3 very hard games to come.

This is what I think they’ll do

In: Crouch, Dowling, EH, Sholl
Out: Berry, McHenry, Gollant, Cook

McHenry will go sub

What I would do:

In: Crouch, Dowling, EH, Curtin, Taylor
Out: Berry, McHenry, Gollant, Smith, Sholl

Cook to sub, struggles to impact on a whole game but has played good qtrs

Laird to play the McHenry role
Crouch replaces Berry
Dowling replaces Cook but gets midfield rotations
Curtin replaces Smith
Taylor replaces Laird in midfield
EH replaces Gollant who is offering nothing. EH can at least ruck

This is Taylor’s 3rd year, season is shot. We need to play him.

But we know what I’ve suggested has no chance of happening
