Will wait and see how Casey goes tomorrow before putting names up. Couch, Tappy, Blease etc are all names that come to mind but we need them playing well in the magoos first.

Out: Green - you've been great but you've lost the plot mate
Bennell - delist material
MacDonald - should be an experienced leader but adds nothing. Play a kid instead.
Bail - hasn't done anything.

In:
Tapscott if he fit
Tynan deserves another game
Strauss if match fit
and someone else. dunno, martin back i guess

Out: Melbourne
In: Casey

Sorry, had to be done
Was thinking this too, well done!

Only change atm: Me, going to the game next week. I'll but my membership, buy don't expect me to come along & watch this crap.

What do people think about McKenzie? I know he tries hard but not sure he is in our best 22.

This shit is so circular. We drop players who don't perform well, they go to Casey and do reasonably well and they're back in the seniors and playing shit again.

**** it, we should just forfeit this season.

We need to bring in some pace and players who always go hard at it... therefore as an inital team.. will change after Caseys game.

FB: Rivers - Frawley - Bartram
HB: Grimes - Garland - Blease
C: Magner - Trengove - McKenzie
HF: Bate - Watts - Bail
FF: Howe - Clark - Petterd
FOL: Martin - Jones - Couch
INT: McDonald - Tapscott - Tynan
SUB: Bennell.

IN: Tynan, Blease, Tapscott, Couch, Martin
OUT: Jamar, Dunn, MacDonald, Green, Sellar

Bit harsh on Dunn maybe but it was either him or Petterd and petterd offers more athletically. Bring in 4 runners. Dont see Jamar being dropped but i think i smaller forward line with players that can go through the midfield is better than our current set up. Frawley, Garland and Rivers can take reiwoldt, Vickery and Miller butwe do need some pace to counter their smalls.

Lots of calls for Blease, but he's been subbed off the last two games he's played (Port last year, and Brisbane last week).

Great player inside their somewhere, but he need to put it on the park every week for a while before he earns yet another chance. Let's at least go through the motions of making them earn their spots.

Bennell may have played his last game for us. Also feel that a few of the boys are suffering through having injuries over the last month or two, and not being able to get up to speed through the latter part of the pre-season: Grimes, McKenzie, Petterd come to mind. Wonder if Tapscott and Strauss would be match-fit either.

But all shifting the deck chairs for me, the problems we have aren't going to be fixed at the selection table. It's those dark old days again people, and we just have to look for the glimmers of hope.

My ****ing big one is

Out: Bate being sub (24 possies from 3 quarters this year)
In: my foot in Neeld's arse if this doesn't happen.

Have we ever played Davey as a sub? If he is only going to play 1 qtr a week we can force his hand as to which qtr that will be. As bad as it sounds I want to see what Morton's got. We re-signed him last year and I don't want to see anymore time wasted on pea hearts. He is a good kick and there's potential. Put up or g&gf (sorry biff).

Went and deciphered Richmond's game plan at the G tonight.

We definitely need to pick blokes who are going to run all day, without compromising on the blokes that play on Maric, Riewoldt, Vickery etc and can also take apart blokes like D.Grimes, Batchelor etc.

Their game plan is built around playing on at the earliest opportunity, lots of run and carry even in defence. They take a lot of risks, so we need to play blokes who can run with them but also MAN UP to stop them from taking this risky game plan on.

I wonder if Frawley took something from watching Ben Reid outsmart Reiwoldt tonight.

Id use Tyrone Vickery to play someone into form.

Cut out goals from Deledio and Martin and Brad Miller will be the only bloke you need to worry about making a contribution to a winning score.

Should be a good game. Nice chance for Melbourne to pass the heat baton to Hardwick.
