Its easy to get 75% DE when you are chipping the ball around like Joel Bowden. This is a classic case where his stats make him look better than he truly was.

He has been outstanding this year defensively. His offensive output isn't as good as it needs to be (or he is capable of).
Doubt many got near 75% DE today & many players turned the ball over when they had no pressure on them ... but yeah, keep having a crack at someone even though other players played much worse!

People are suggesting for Andy Otten to be dropped because of that missed mark and Freo goal late in the game.

Has to be that as he doesn't deserve it as he wasn't that bad, the conditions were nit great and he was playing one out and on the rebound most of the game. Been very good this season and now must be dropped.

In: Couch, smack

Out: Porps, Martin

In Smack, Crouch, Henderson
Out Martin, Porpy, D-Mac

Otten was woeful today however has been saved by his good season form

Radar is another skating on thin ice

Alex

It was more than that missed mark, go back and watch the replay to see how many times Otto made a choice to go to ground instead of keeping his feet.... Very soft in my books

However with that said his strong season form saves him from an absolute woeful performance

I was being factious as this board has such a short memory and only looks at one individual incident and then lays all the Blame on that player.

Porps out for Crouch, McKay out inj for Hendo, Martin out Smack in. As much as I don't rate Smack (more disappointment in him really) we need to find out if he can play or not.
Other possibilities is Reilly out for Reilly, Brown out for Reilly, Brown out for MJ.....

Otten doesn't deserve dropping but I certainly wouldn't be defending his performance based on his disposal efficiency and disposal count. He lost some key contests, missed a couple of crucial tackles and was instrumental in Freo scoring their last two goals of the final quarter.

Adelaide have strugged at home this year.
Sydney have been a very good road team.
I'm sure we'll start underdogs.

But footy is a funny game.

Do some people who post on this board understand that we are no longer a premiership thread?

As soon as we lost Tippett for nothing, we lost that mantel of being a top 4 side and had to rebuild. Even if we added a fit (and in form) Callihan, Stiffy and Porplizia doesn't change that.

We need to persevere with Kerridge, Lyons, Brown, Jenkins, smack, lynch, Crouch and Laird and they will have some really good games and some really bad games. It's about having some patience and continuing to persevere with them.

Then when they have played about 30 games we will start getting some consistent performances from them. Next year will be another up and down year with Grigg and one or two more younger players should come in and add a returning Tex Walker who will need 12 months to get back to his bast and gain that confidence in his knee.

2015 is the year where everything comes together, until then, it will be very inconsistent with how we perform.

I hope we win next week but I'm thinking the swans will win by 6 to 8 goals.

1 poor game & you want to drop a player who has been solid most of the season ... but don't worry about Porps who has been shyte nearly all year. Dead set, what do some people think???

I've wanted Porps dropped for months, and I still do.

Otten is a shadow of his 2009 self, and we're structurally flawed with him in the side as a result. When he starts getting 20 good touches a game, like he did in 2009, then he's straight back in.

1st up I think Brown needs a rest, Laird has gone past him, they both play similar positions

OUTS...Mckay Inj, Brown (a rest) Porps (can't get near the ball) Reilly (struggling)
IN'S...Mckernan, Hendo,Jaensch,Crouch
....My Side....
Laird ,Rutten, Otten
Martin, Tallia, V.B.
Hendo,Danger,Smith
Sloane, Jenkins, Kerridge
Douglas, Lynch, Mckernan

Ruck:Jacobs,Thompson,Crouch

Inter:Vince, Jaensch,Lyon,Petrenko

Huh? He's been good all year, deserves to stay in after one average game.

Dropped chest mark last freo goal, is a third negating player meant to be a mid but gives no run. We have no rebound and he is why.

King Elvis is on the money today get around him.

Really though lost this one by not subbing Mackay early. The second quarter lost this game.

For someone who's so prim about a certain four letter word, you certainly know how to raise the tone.

Oh forgive me father, for I have sinned.

I guess having a sense of humour isn't allowed if you choose to exercise sone morals about certain words.
