Language has generally accepted parameters at any point in history, though. You can't just go making words up and then use the fact that language evolves as an excuse.
Lewis Caroll created a number of new words when he wrote "Alice in Wonderland". He was very surprised as to which ones made their way into the wider English language and which ones didn't.

Somehow I think that no matter how hard I strive I'll never quite reach the levels of egocentricity required to declare that the existence of my criticism is enough evidence required to establish a problem. Something to aim for I guess.

As distinct from the existence of your defence being evidence enough that there isn't a problem.

See how this works?

C'mon. STO's defence plus the small matter of his keeping on being appointed.

IMO if no suitable word already exists then its perfectly acceptable to introduce new words, but in our deitise, deify example, there clearly is already a commonly accepted word that deitise doesnt improve on, just substitutes for.

which is what the term youse is doing, filling the gap for bogans who don't realise you is plural.

Some people vehemently disagree with the clubs selection policies, some with the decision to retain Trigg after Tippegate, some with the initial and/or ongoing appointment of vB as captain.

Agreeing with a club decision doesn't automatically invalidate any criticism or skepticism towards that decision by others. I thought you of all people would subscribe to that.

In: McKernan, Crouch, Wright
Out: Mackay (inj), Martin (omit), Porplyzia (omit)

VB to play Mackay's normal role across half back, Wright to come into the forward line to play Porps role (and pinch hit in the midfield), Crouch to play mainly in the midfield, McKernan to resume doing what he did against the Roos.

Kerridge the sub.

Regarding Shakespeare my understanding is that he didnt actually make up words he just added 'un' to the front of several words for the first time

No, he did far more than that. He invented many words and phrases that are now current in the English language.

He also bored the shit outta me during high school English.

Much of Shakespeare's work wasn't his own anyway. Most of it was written by Chuck Norris.
and he's still working on it, legit photo taken at hogs breath cafe on Gouger St a month ago.

This week is going to be tough.......Sydney are No. 1 for Contested Possessions, Clearances and Tackles!

Bit of a lie that clearances stat.

Yes the Swans are number 1 in clearances but what it does not tell you is that of the 10 games we have played this year we have probably only won the clearances in 3 of them. The reason we are on top is because the Swans have more stoppages than all other teams.

Sydney's game style will demolish us I think. Good tackling side like Freo but with more potency. Just hitting their straps this year too. Not confident of getting within 50 points to be honest.

Saturday is a critical time for the selectors.

At one extreme we can try to match the experience in Sydney by retaining Porps and recalling Stiffy, Callinan and Wright and "resting" Brown, Kerridge and Lyons. We will lose and gain absolutely nothing.

If we retain Brown, Kerridge, Lyons and Laird and bring back Crouch we will also probably lose but we will take a small step towards our next premiership.

Last week Brown and Kerridge found the going tough (but no tougher than some of our 100+ game players), Lyons was O.K. and Laird played a beauty. That's how it works with young kids. The value of last weeks match was enormous for our "less than 20 games" players. There is no value just playing them in the matches against the bottom 4 teams. Does anyone regret playing Porps instead of Crouch last week?

Keep the KIDS and bring in Crouch!!!!!!

Yeah, but you were trying to make it sound as though the only thing supporting VB's captaincy reign was STO's personal backing.
