Don't you think a game against Brisbane might of helped his confidence? Sorry I'm not a Redpath fan unlike many others. Just my opinion, which I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to have.

Of course you are , and you may even be right. But I havnt seen anything from Boyd at VFL level , and I have seen most them , that tells me he is a better bet than Redpath right now.
In the next year or two different story.

Ahh spewing no T. Boyd. Think he will be much more valuable than Redpath in a final. People say out of form but he kicked 5 a few games ago against Port Melbourne, had a quiet one against Bendigo, then had a decent game on the weekend playing more up the ground, and kicked the game winner. I don't know about out of form/confidence...

Oh well, trust in Bev, little disappointing though. Very interested to see if Redpath has a poor game and T. Boyd plays well, if he brings him in for a final.

Goodes, Daniel & Cordy to come out for Murphy, Moyd & Morris next week. Fingers crossed there are no injuries.

Fletch back in means Rough is our preferred ruck for the rest of the year. I like it, he's extremely athletic and useful around the ground.

We're shaping up well for he first final, let's just hope the kids get us over the line on Sat.

Yep. Been dropped for that shocking turnover in the first qtr.

Thats the future. These players may get another year but will be used less and less next year.

Happy I get to see all the young guns but a bit disappointed that all the 200+ gamers are out.

It's not so much his form for me but his attitude for want of a better word. His attack on the ball is not that of a player who plays in that position. The aggression factor needs to double. Goals are one thing but splitting packs and slamming the opposition is a very important role. Especially with our group of medium size forwards.

Suggesting I'm not? Because if you know my post history I'm ecstatic to see the Dogs play finals. But forgive me for being for being a little disappointed as I haven't been able to see our team play for years.

We're in the bloody finals. Our only objective is to win it all now. Why would we bring in Boyd for any other reason than his form deserved it (which it hasn't).

Game before last he didn't take a single mark for the whole game (or goal), and last game he was a turnover machine, and other than his last minute goal was a very average game with just the occasional lead up mark on the wing(which Redpath can do better). Let's be honest, he lacks the mobility and forward pressure of Redpath, Stringer, Crameri etc so until he actually starts taking contested marks inside 50 and kicking goals in the VFL consistently he's got no chance of making his way into a AFL finals team.

I guess I'm of the opinion that if you rest 3 vs resting 15... Your still resting players...

I find it hard to lawyer North fans when we rest any players... Today I did argue with a north fan (mostly to talk shit) about resting players... Then we rested 3...

End of the day it doesn't matter, I just dislike North!

I think the big thing is that we rested three vets and bought in a best 22 defender, a guy that is a superstar in the VFL and a 1st year player that is having a really impressive year.

It's a bit different when North have bought in guys like Daw, Tippett & Black.
