If true, it is interesting.
Most pies fans don't want him but we would love to beat Richmond to any signing.
Tigers are keen on doing deals to change the perception they are poor trade period performers.
Mayne is seen by Richmond as a player who can provide some leadership and stability

If they sign Mayne then nothing to lose by matching the Vickery bid (assuming Tyrone doesn't agree to stay).
Mayne would probably be a better fit at Richmond than Collingwood, tbh.....
Tigers won't match Vickery offer.

Seriously though why the * would Richmond care how they are perceived as trade performers?
They've had a few disappointing trades recently, very keen to do well this year

Can i ask what level of compo that is?
Richmond have Riewoldt, a few lumbering lummoxes like Griffiths, and a bunch of medium-smalls in their forward line.
Mayne would fill that third-tall type forward that Richmond seem to lack. (He's only 188, but he seems to "play taller" than that).
