When management is bad and destructive, and none of us can seriously argue that for Birdman (and almost no one will defend Chapman either), someone has to have the guts to do something.Well, I guess we’ll never know.
What we do know is that those 3 blokes finished their careers elsewhere having been excited from the club at the same time. Now, I’m not saying that means the club made the right decision, but I am saying it’s clear what the club thought of them - for right or for wrong
They put themselves ahead of the team. Currying favour with the media for whatever motivation they had
They tried fixing it quietly and the club backed in Birdman and CM.
A team isn’t made strong or successful by suffering under bad leaders. It is made resentful, bitter and demotivated. Good people leave. Toadies and stooges proliferate and get promoted. Things get worse. You fancy yourself a realist, surely you understand this?
