No new injury, tightness and he was aware of that. Good news. The other level obviously being the concern on the tightness and the related issues with that.
Appears a lot of hand wringing on here from Friday nigh not so warranted. 2 weeks to get his ducks in a row and he’ll be good to go.

Hypothetical I know but what happens if we are lucky enough to make the GF, does he walk off the ground while the game is on the line with hamstring tightness? We absolutely need Darcy, hes a star but I dont think he trusts his own body.

If darc were to jog off the ground with 10 minutes to go and us 5 points in front in the GF I would imagine he would be unceremoniously LYNCHED.

Darce needs to walk a few miles in my body. The first 20 limping steps out of bed feels like something is about to go. But I carry on undaunted. Straight to the toilet.

He has to play—-you don’t get these moments regularly throughout an career.

Back him in and let him back himself in to get to the line and stay the course.

Actually think that if Moore got to the GF, he would play through pain. He has always talked about unfinished business as a Pie fan. Also he was ruled of the GF by Bucks and broke down emotionally in Nathan's office after training on the Thursday before the match.

Why take it literally?

The poster I was responding to posed a question on what would happen if Darc walked of during the GF.

I provided a possible scenario - and quite tongue in cheek.

FFS.

I realise that, but I do hear people saying they wouldn't risk him in finals in case he walks off. Kane Cornes wants him ruled out for the rest of the finals regardless of the scans being clear.

In that scenario he's big enough and dangerous enough to just sit in the goal square for the remainder of the match

Moore has been cleared of a strain, but there's still some trepidation. From 'The Age', quoting Geoff Walsh:
He has not re-injured it. He did report tightness and awareness but all the subsequent investigations are that he has not re-injured it, which is good news on one level'.
Geoff might have gone on to say: 'Good news on one level, but on another level we're rather f****** flummoxed by this bloke's inability to finish a game, and more than a little mystified as to why his mind is responding to messages that his hamstrings just aren't sending. I'm not unconvinced that sorcery or some other sort of witchcraft isn't at work. Maybe don't quote me on that last bit, or I'll glare at you at every opportunity. Thanks.'
I'm aware of a lot of people who are tight but I'm also aware they don't share the same awareness as I do regarding their tightness.

Is it helpful to be aware of awareness?

Kane Cornes quite literally wouldn't know if a tram was up him until it stopped and the passengers started getting off.

I'm pretty sure someone has to s**t down his throat for him to find something to talk about

Darcy Moore’s mental battles with his recurrent hamstring strains are a legitimate factor in his push for September, according to one of Australia’s leading sports psychologists.
Collingwood does not believe Moore has suffered a serious hamstring issue after leaving the ground on Friday night, as he faces a seventh soft-tissue injury since the start of 2018.

Last year the star Collingwood defender was unavailable for the last eight weeks of the season, with Moore unable to trust his body in the finals after a minor hamstring issue in Round 20 against Sydney.
Collingwood is aware his hamstring issues are real and structural after sending him to Germany over summer for specialist advice and seven issues since the start of last year.
But there is also a mental side that means Moore is understandably reluctant to push too hard in case he suffers another strain that leads to a long-term absence.

Dr Noel Blundell, who has consulted with 10 AFL teams and helped 15 Olympic and world champions, told the Herald Sun those mental issues actually manifested into physical issues.
“The concern is scar tissue forms and it can get ripped again and the mental damage is as bad as the physical damage where a player is reluctant to push through barriers they would normally push through.
“There might be scar tissue there but the mental scar tissue can be even more dramatic as the physical injury.

Blundell said players who enter games protecting themselves from soft-tissue injury carry so much tension it can put strain on their bodies.
“When you are anxious or nervous those muscles tighten under those circumstances. The anxiety increases the muscle tension around that group and it makes them more susceptible to injury.
“They are trying to protect themselves but they don’t have that relaxed fluidity they normally have in movement patterns.

“The really elite athletes are also high susceptible in their neurological wiring. That extra sensitivity enhances the awareness when there is just a slight twinge there.
“That is a trigger to say, “Oh, be careful”, but in doing so it causes challenges.”
The Pies expect Matt Scharenberg to recover from concussion in time to be fit for Friday week’s qualifying final against Geelong.
Jordan de Goey is expected to prove his fitness, with Jaidyn Stephenson’s sparkling first quarter and 20-possession VFL game showing he is also ready.
Daniel Wells got through his first game on return from PCL surgery but with the Pies out of finals he and Brayden Sier have no more official games to prove their fitness.

Saddest thing is we probably would've won with a strong key back like him in the game (though without the hindsight of him being as good as he'd been this year, it was too hard to tell)

Finals is a whole different ball game

I think he felt tight and went yeah * this I'm not missing out on another finals series get me off.
