Port seem to always save their season. they were dead and buried at 1-3. will they ever truly slide and suffer like we did 2019-2024? argh!Just re-did my ladder predictor primarily upgrading Cats and Port a bit and downgrading Saints, Dins and Freo a bit. Also changed what I think are close games to draws. No sides missing out on 14 wins now.

Dealing entirely in guesswork here, but personally I think the Gold Coast game was of a similar intensity. Smaller crowd, but a finals-type level of pressure and plenty of skill on display. Don't think we are far off the level.Watched the Geelong - Hawks game yesterday
There's no way we could play with the same intensity of those 2 sides.....
If we do make the finals, dont think we'll go any deeper than the first week.

Long time to play it yet but looks more than ever like that really large middle section of the ladder is full of teams who could beat anyone else in that group on their day. Could end up like last year where teams are falling over themselves to miss finals and the ones that make it are the ones that, more so than winning games they shouldn't, just don't drop games they shouldn't. Seemed like no one wanted to finish 7th or 8th last year for a while.Essendon win looking less. Reckon we're on track to finish 6-13, it's a competitive group, nothing has changed since preseason.
Really helps to play sides in shit form.Port seem to always save their season. they were dead and buried at 1-3. will they ever truly slide and suffer like we did 2019-2024? argh!
We'd be better off with a bunch of strong sides taking wins off the middle group.Yeah, we probably will. Draw is very soft, and the league is quite weak at the moment as it's a strong mid-table with little in the way of standout sides.
Their current group of players is very good. They won't really slide for another 4 years.Port seem to always save their season. they were dead and buried at 1-3. will they ever truly slide and suffer like we did 2019-2024? argh!
I think your bolded statement is a little strange.Amazing that had Rankine received a free and goaled we'd be 5-1 yet the mood in here has come down somewhat.
EDIT: Quite rightly I might add. GWS is the only quality team we've beaten and would have lost had they kicked straight.
