I'm basing alot of these votes on "eye catching performances/players"...ie alot of the times in Brownlow voting mundane run-with roles & great defensive games don't stand out in umpires minds.

Rnnd 1 v Haw - Freo were smashed, there is not a hope of us getting any votes in this game
3 -
2 -
1 -
Rnd 2 v Carl - Crowley was easily BOG, whilst a no other player shone out, with Josh Carr & McManus perfoming good. Freo didn't blow Carlton off the field so, we'd be lucky to get more than 4 votes in this game.
3 - Crowley
2 -
1 - Josh Carr
Rnd 3 v Port - Besides the lacklustre 1st Quarter, Freo held sway in this game & some clear winners on the day...Josh Carr easily best afield with either Johnson, Schammer, McMnaus, Mundy to pick up a 1 voter
3 - Josh Carr
2 -
1 - Johnson
Rnd 4 v Adel - Adelaide controlled this game for much part & I'd say we'd be lucky to come off with 1 vote with no "outstanding" efforts on the day. Polak, Schammer or Mundy our best bet. I'm tipping we miss out.
3 -
2 -
1 -
Rnd 5 v St Kilda - We controlled this match for much of the day, almost blowing it in the last quarter fade out. Expect Pavlich to be BOG, whilst any of Josh Carr, Headland, Bell or Johnson could collect 1 vote.
3 - Pavlich
2 -
1 - Johnson
Rnd 6 v Wce - Will be interesting to see who gets top votes here, but I'm guessing it won't be the winners. Josh Carr streaks ahead in picking up votes again, whilst 1 vote could go to anyone of Polak, Johnson, Duffield, Pavlich.
3 -
2 - Josh Carr
1 - Johnson
Rnd 7 v Melb - We were smashed in this game, & I can't see any votes ocming our way. If we snuck 1 vote, it would probably go to Johnson or Pavlich.
3 -
2 -
1 -
Rnd 8 v Kangaroos - Totally uninspiring game, though we won by 5 goals so we should collect at least 4 votes. Pavlich was clearly BOG, whilst other votes could be shard amongst Peake, Josh Carr, Matt Carr or Grover.
3 - Pavlich
2 -
1 - Peake
Rnd 9 v Brisbane - Absoloutely smashed. No chance of votes here.
3 -
2 -
1 -
Rnd 10 v Richmond - Tough even game, we cam eaway winners but the Tigers had some good running players on the night. Anyone of Johnson, Peake, McManusm, Pavlich or Sandilands could collect votes here. My guess;
3 - Johnson
2 -
1 - McManus
Rnd 11 v Dogs - We had chances but blew it in the last stanza, no stand outs for Fremantle & I don't think we'll poll anything here...Josh Carr or mundy probably the best chance.
3 -
2 -
1 -
Rnd 12 v Geelong - We were smashed comprehensivley. No Chance.
3 -
2 -
1 -
Round 13 v Sydney - We were winning heading into last quarter & then completely over run. Troy Cook was very good 7 would be a chance for a vote alongwith Hayden, Pavlich was good, but faded.
3 -
2 -
1 - Cook
Round 14 v Essendon - Won by 6 goals with even team performace. mcManus, Pavlich, Dodd, Hayden & Hasleby amongst the best. The Bombers had some good individuals on the night so we may miss out on the 1 vote.
3 - McManus
2 - Pavlich
1 -
Round 15 v Collingwood - Won comfortably, with no clear winners for the Pies. We may collect all votes here...Farmer, Bell, Josh Carr were all superb, Headland may sneak in for a vote.
3 - Farmer
2 - Bell
1 - Josh Carr
Round 16 v Melbourne - 5 goal win with Heath Black superb. Hayden, Matt Carr, Sandilands, Peake were all good as well.
3 - Black
2 - Peake
1 -
Round 17 v Carlton - Terrible game to watch & ump's will find it hard to give out votes...will probably get Fevola in there, as most the Freo players that played well in this one were from outside the Top 15 players in their squad.
3 -
2 - Murphy
1 - Webster
Round 18 v Hawthorn - Hawks were smashed, & we should pull of all votes here, although Crawford may sneak in. Bell was superb in this one, as was, Sandilands, Hayden, Longmuir.
3 - Bell
2 - Sandilands
1 - Hayden
Round 19 v Adelaide - Good win for Fremantle & should dominate the votes here. Bell was superb, as was Farmer, whilst Black & McManus may sneak in for a vote.
3 - Bell
2 - Farmer
1 -
Round 20 v St Kilda - Smashed the Saints & should poll some good votes although there was no outstanding players on the night. Bell, McManus, McPharlin, Mundy, & Black are all a chance.
3 - Bell
2 - McManus
1 - McPharlin
Round 21 v Wce - A shellacking, though Cousins shoudl sneak in for 1 vote on his performamce (maybe). Bell clearly BOG, Farmer, Sandilands, Josh Carr, Black all a chance for votes
3 - Bell
2 - Farmer
1 -
Round 22 v Port - Another thrashing by Freo, with Crowley BOG, though looking at replay was maybe not as influential as Peake or even Farmer. Pavlich & Sandilands also played well.
3 - Farmer
2 - Peake
1 - Crowley

VOTES;

14 Bell
10 Farmer
8 Pavlich
7 Josh Carr
6 McManus, Johnson
5 Peake
4 Crowley
3 Black
2 Murphy, Sandilands
1 Hayden, Webster, Mcpharlin

How was Joshie racing up the leader board with that asterisk next to his name. :D Sitting atop it after 6 rounds! :thumbsu: Back with the chasing pack now on 9 votes along with Pav.

Edit: just snuck ahead of Pav - he's now on 10 votes after Rd 12, leading the Freo charge!

I can't believe Crowley didn't get a vote. Clearly disliked.....some of his games were BOGs in my opinion.

Very interesting, I thought he would have jagged a vote here or there.

This season Crowls has gone from a fringe 22 player to cementing his place. As stated yesterday, I am proposing that Dessie's "gold card" be given to Crowls.

Recruiting Tip :- put all new players on the Rookie List, so they have to really prove themselves at WAFL level. Rookie players seem to be more hungrier.
