Aloisi? Really? I don't like him.

I like the sound of this Richard Porta (born in Australia but moved to Uruaguay at 1 years old, hasn't been back since) and the coaching staff looks very highly rated with the manager actually being the caretaker manager of Ajax in 2009.

This isn't that great a goal (just a good finish) from Porta but the commentary is hilarious. PORTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa oooooo GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL REEEVER! *Spanish stuff* RICHARD PORTAAAAAAAAA
He was fairly highly rated at one stage. Was being suggested for a Socceroo call up. I have no doubt a lot of that was just media hype at the time, as he never actually got a call up. He'd be a class above the A-League in all likelihood.

I've been on board with the Victory since Day 1 personally. I find the games a bit boring to watch sometimes, it's an awful standard, so I'm not too fanatical.

Still is highly rated, been in the squad and the bench a few times in internationals.

Not sure why verbeek doesn't want to pick him(we have chosen players under him that have rights at other euro teams) and it's not like we have fleet footed clean strikers coming out of the wazoo.

It's beause Verbeek would rather play about 5 defensive midfielders than a player that has anything resembling flair. Also I was fairly sure he has never been called up to an Australian senior squad. Maybe you mean Richard Garcia?

Maybe I just missed his name

I meant Uruguay squad, hasn't plated yet but bench at least twice.

And yeah watch the Indonesia match we only need a point so keeper, 9 defenders/holding mids and then kennedy isolated

w***er. lol

You love it

and if mrdja didn't get carded I would be confident of holding next week, now I'm hopeful. We need one striker next week

and yes price you were right, he played well last night

It's not that great but it's still quite fun IMO. Victory are pretty fun to watch on the counter attack. It's fun to watch when the likes of Thompson and Hernandez show their tricks against sub par defending.

Can anyone post some pictures of the ground condition?

I didn't see it either DT, but I found this on The Age website;

Doesn't look too crash hot.

Doesn't look good at all on that picture.

Amen Brother.

Looks utterly shit in fact, not so bad from a soccer perspective as only a small fraction of the pitch is affected, but for footy it's virtually the entire 50 metre arc at one end.

Becoming less concerned about winning tonight than I am about the players getting through unscathed. Might not be as bad as it looks, but I doubt it.

It was worse than I thought it would be. One end was green grass and the other end was brown dirt. The dirt end looked like it was rock hard as well.

Pathetic.:thumbsd:

and The Idiots at AFL Thinks That's Okay:rolleyes:
