well thanks for those who supported my OPINION, which I am fully entitled to! NO THANKS to those who feel the need to call me names, or denigrate me, your posts were passed over. I have not changed my mind btw. I would have loved us to win a GF because of the constant struggle, disrespect from other team members and the media insults throughout the years, I was drawn to Fremantle Football Club because we were the UNDERDOG team in W.A. Now if we do ever win a GF, it will be because we are just another corporate enterprise, with no feeling, no passion, no loyalty, no integrity, no ethics. If you all agree with this, then fine. I will NOT. Why?? Because I may as well stayed an Eagles supporter and gained the same hollow satisfaction at winning a GF.

I'm the opposite. I'm sick of my team just making up the numbers. I want out club to be one of the big clubs. I've had enough of being underdog, as romantic as that may seem. I have to say I'm staggered by the run this is getting in the media. Channel 7 are calling it the biggest story of the year on the half time show during tonights game. Coach gets sacked, new coach appointed. I just don't get why this is so big?

We were here watching it all go down in real time. First there is a ****ing bomb out of nowhere, then an hour or so of WTFURFULLOFSHITWTFSOURCEOMFG!!!!!111!123, new rumours every 5 minutes from people listening to SEN, then a counter rumour, then throw in a couple of meltdowns from posters about the place, then then all of a sudden Lyon has left St Kilda WTFOMFGBACKSTABBINGPIECEOFSHITETC1112!!, now all of a sudden the St Kilda supporters are going ****ing balistic, more rumours, and then an hour after that Lyon's management has sacked him.

I ended up spending 5 hours following it all. You just literally couldn't stop following it. Ended up staying up til 6:30 finishing my assignment because of it.

It was like the September 11 of football, shit was just coming at you from all angles.

Have to say it's a pretty ballsy act by the Freo board, Harves had done a good job with your team the last few years, but yeh, I didn't think he could be a premiership coach. But all the best for with Lyon, I think he's the man to finish the job ie bring a premiership trophy to Freo.

Interesting how the Freo board replaced Harves though, especially when knowing full well that he's dead man walking during the function and not batting an eyelid when he presented his plans for next year. neishaj like it or not all AFL teams are a massive business or "corporate enterprise" as you call it, and you will go under if you don't manage it properly.

If you cant accept that you need to stick with the WAFL.

My opinion... Fremantle are finally showing some balls and doing what's best for the success of the club instead of what feels right so they don't upset anyones feelings.
