Not sure how the Mac Allister challenge is in dispute. If the shoe was on the other foot people would be going berserk.

I take it Poch bringing on young Burstow late in the match was the old tactic of sending a message to the owners to spend some money in the transfer market.

Nah, he was the last attacking player we had left on the bench. He should be the 4th in line CF but injury makes him now back up to Jackson.

It’s been quiet-ish window so far for Chelsea mate, still ten days to go in the window however so am expecting Chelsea to be active. Hang in there Chef.

What's the issue with Chelsea? No chemistry? Team needs time together? Poor tactics?

They clearly have good players, so what's going wrong?

Surely even West Ham fans would have thought they win 3-1?

Going to need a lot of patience. We've spent nearly a billion dollars on mostly potential rather than proven performance, so understandably we're going to get a lot of barbs thrown our way when we don't perform. That said, West Ham has always been a bit of a bogey side for us, so I'm not that surprised at the result.

We need the next nine points out of the next nine though with Luton, Forest (at the bridge) and Bournemouth to come.

Poor buying. Starting to look like Everton when we had cash.

Was thinking the same yesterday, its got to be a chemistry thing.

I wonder too about their leadership, do they need a proper leader (Terry like without the shagging) to help gel everyone together a bit quicker.

Having said that I was reasonably impressed by their first game, yesterday might just have been one of those days.

Luton on Friday night is a great opportunity to set things right.

Apparently a Paul Tierney conspiracy. Nonsensical.
You do remember only a couple of months ago the Skipp tackle on Jota which was far far more dangerous than Macalister’s, but not according to Tierney who was happy to not even show a yellow and VAR did not intervene?

This is not just a Liverpool thing - These are individual instances and every club has them, but we all know there are refs with history, biases, grudges and agendas - Mike Dean on Merseyside is one that comes to mind - given this incident being so recent then Tierney should not have been near a Liverpool game for a while.

The same Paul Tierney who allowed Diogo Jota to kick Skipp in the head in the same game and not send him off, that same Tierney?
As above. Nonsensical coping mechanism that a referee has it out for one club.

You can't dictate who can and who can't referee your game just because they've made a bad decision against you.

Two names have come up.

Jeremy Doku (if he comes I think Palmer will leave.

And Dani Almo (if he doesn't come I think we'll just stick with what we've got).

In - Gvardiol, Kovacic, Olmo, Doku
Out - Gundogan, Mahrez, Laporte, Cancelo, Palmer

Remembering that Akanji was bought in as a replacement for Cancelo last January it's pretty much as you were.

City should re-sign Sterling. Chelsea would use the 50M to chip in for his 150M replacement.

No thanks, he was great for us but left at the right time.

Would have a book value of around £50m so a sale wouldn't do Chelsea much good either.
