Their drafting has been ordinary. Though they hardly have had the early draft picks to get their hands on the best talent.

Welsh I haven't been a fan of in recent seasons and was completely against last offseason. I was strongly of the belief that we should go Ball or draft the best available youngster (Troy Taylor or Josh Thomas).

As for the topic of Essendon. I am not against Knights as a coach, but like Michael Voss at Brisbane a new coach can be sometimes be good for a short period of time (as we have seen) but essentially both are new coaches who took over from legendary coaches in Leigh Matthews and Kevin Sheedy. So it is hardly fair to have the same expectations and expect the same results. Personally I am of the belief that both can become reasonable coaches at AFL level. While I don't see them becomming as good as my favourite coaches being Ross Lyon and Neil Craig or reaching the status of a Leigh Matthew or a Kevin Sheedy they still both have the opportunity to become successful at their respective clubs if given time to rebuild these teams.

They have no excuses, they have been average since 2003, plenty of opportunity to grab some quality.

05 - Ryder & Dempsey....Dempsey mega fail, Ryder really poor this year

I have a lot of respect for the Dons (unlike the Scum and the Saints) despite our rivalry, sad to see them the way they are now.
