Unfortunately I get the feeling we were stretched pretty thin last year trying to hold onto various players that were the targets of Victorian raids. The Victorian clubs will do the same this year, and with no more room to move we may lose a player or two.

Things will have to eventually come to an end. You can't just go on and keep losing players every year.

I'd say picks or pick upgrades unless getting someone who will immediately fix one of our key deficiency areas. To me these include a clearance specialist, a seasoned ruck and a crumber.

Its sorta scary that we would even consider getting rid pof Rischa and that theres people who think its a good idea...

In a year where improvements in players performances could be counted on one hand you actually would consider getting rid of one is... well... worrying...

Seriously... Patfull, Big Red, Macca, Braddy and Rischa are about the only established players who improved this year on a consistent basis... it Rischa a while to get going for sure but when his wick was lit he kept it up.

Theres plenty of other guys who should be trade bait long long before Rischa... and unless the incentive is mind blowing he's gotta stay to help rebuild.

He is out of contract and it's reported the deal is HUGE - they will play hard ball

There is always the Port and Nick Stevens option if they offer something ridiculous

There are posts here in this thread suggesting that people wouldnt be disappointed if he left... and its been said in others at times... now maybe I'm wrong or have misunderstood the intent... but thats not sounding like some think hes worth fighting for... or that its a good idea to keep him.

We have to keep Riska. He came in this year with a dodgy pre-season, and just got better and better.

Lovett has talent but has been shown the door at Essendon for a reason. He is damaged goods and I would be surprised if Essendon got more than 50 cents in the dollar from anyone.

The Lions are an equally young side with quite a few young indig guys and now with a new coach. I can't see us taking him if you were paying us for the pleasure of his company.

Im a massive Riska fan, but that offer is just obscene.

I love some of the qualities that Riska brings to our team, however while he has improved this year, he is still a palaer at the crossraods, if he can improve his fitness and disposal he can be a good/great player.

However, if we are required to match that offer i really dont see any alternative than to trade him for the Bombers second rounder.

I think our Pick 23 is a pretty fair trade for riska.
