Soooo it turns out I somehow missed the power armour and minigun.
I am quite thorough I believe...
No wonder I thought it seemed hard.
How the **** did I beat that deathclaw...

Only just started playing tonight. Played a good four and a half hours, and I'm loving it. I just fell right back into the Fallout-y mindset, hoarding Stimpaks and Bobby Pins like a mother ****er. The non-VATS shooting is still not great, but it's way better, and genuinely solid. And even though we know that the graphics aren't the absolute pinnacle of next-gen, I sometimes feel people get too hung up on clarity, smoothness, etc and are losing sight of the fact that the art design, atmosphere and environments are excellent in this game (lighting is really nice too).

Can't wait to put 50+ hours into it.

It appears that the pc port of this is (unsurprisingly) a sack of shit so I might wait a few months before I pick it up

Not sure whats a good S.P.E.C.I.A.L set to begin with. Went with something similar to:
S: 4
P: 4
E: 3
C:4
I: 4
A:3
L: 4

Thoughts? Will look to start again tonight after work and want to build someone with good VATS skill and lock picking but still be pretty well rounded (not too strong in one area at the start)

The deathclaw I versed got blown up by the raiders! Went behind a building and got blown up lmao. Easy raider pick off for me.

I know of your struggles. I killed the deathclaw by hiding in a building and shooting it with a pistol [emoji14]

Gotta always check containers. Either medical boxes or tool boxes sometimes.
Don't give her too much though...

I believe there's one somewhere in that mansion where you met them to begin with.

Do I need to give her jet before she ask for the chair? Or is it the other woman who wants it? Once I did the beds, water, food, defence i had nothing left to do in sanctuary

What's the deal with melee in this? I'm Level 7, invested all my points in Strength and Endurance (and Luck - gotta get them bottle caps) yet I'm stuck with 3 baseball bat swings before my AP runs dry while I get taken down by 3 flies/5 feral ghouls.

Thinking my armor sucks, has anybody come across good armor yet (mainly to stop ranged attacks so I can get in close)?

I seriously want to know how you did it, I died at least 4 times with the power armour before killing that thing.

Huh? Only had one crash here that the latest nvidia drivers fixed

The only thing I've heard that makes it a "sack of shit" is this abomination......

Had my first bug, building the settlement at one stage all the buildings and fixtures I build would float above the ground. Only way they'd go green so I could place them was on a steep incline.

Quit the game and started from last save and it fixed it.

How am I supposed to do any work when all I can ****ing think about is how I'm going to kill those raiders/ghouls/radscorpians so I can get that sweet laser gun??

Action points are mainly dictated by your Agility, that's why you're running out of those.

Had a few full crashes myself, but happened once every like 6 hours so can deal with that.

First bug I encountered was weird. Aimed at Codsworth in VATS, cancelled it and pressed L2 immediately. Instead of bringing up my gun to aim, the game instead deciding to fling me backwards and over the house behind me.

Overall, think they've done a great job on that side of things though.

Here's a tip: Do not go into the Boston Mayoral Shelter at a low level. I got far in thinking it was all good but it wasn't... Very hard to get back out of.
