luckily I found a nice spot under a bridge where they couldn't get me, the battle was around an hour long as my shitty 10mm pistol (ran out of decent ammo pretty quickly) took off .0001% of damage from those ****ers every shot. I think the Deathclaws helped me take out the scorpians, but everything was a blur so I claimed them as my own kills.

Level 14 I am on, and that was way too much for level 14. I'm spending the next week gardening and listening to classical music in Sanctuary before I go back out to the world.

Do the concord quest first. Then start building. Gets explained a bit by an npc

Far from a graphical masterpiece but all the little things like self injecting a stimpak are a nice touch Also the feels when I first thought I'd lost Dogmeat even though I usually let the useless campaigner get his arse kicked in combat

Man one mission I had took like 20-30 stimpaks out of me.
It was crazy as hell and now I got **** all left.
This game is way harder than F3 and NV ever were, in fact I found those games to be very easy where I would maybe die a couple of times.
This game I've died like 30 times.

what do you mean? Are you just scrapping all the materials or something? After talking to your robot friend Codsworth you should get a quest to head off into a new town

The one that I found really challenging was clearing out the car plant on level 7 and 8. A lot of the difficulty was because I'd copped some severe radiation poisoning and only had about a third of my hit points available. Was so satisfying to get it done!

Hopefully now I've made it to DC and had my rad sickness cured I'll be a lot more durable.

I agree that it's definitely a lot harder than previous games. Not in a bad or unfair way, but just a way that if I'm anywhere unfamiliar I need to stay on guard and assess any threats. I will see something on the horizon that I want to check out but then my sphincter will also tighten at the thought of what dangers might be there.

was looking around Lexington again last night and came across the Super Dooper Mart. Glad I activated the Protectron to take out most of the ghouls. A few trolled me down the back and I died once but as a compulsive quick saver I just went more cautiously. The holotapes are a nice touch, was sad to hear about the group who tried using the mart as shelter. I found some nice armour pieces from a couple of ghouls in there at least.

I need to get back to Lexington though since I couldn't carry the nuke launcher and power armour gear from the bandit in the middle so stashed them in a box and completely forgot about them.

Yeah I've been burning resources on fences too as well as guard towers and flood lights. Not sure they do anything but looking at it the only thing missing is a sign saying "arbeit macht frei."

I've only noticed the frame rate drop once on the PS4 in at least 12 hours play.

It was after beating the boss

I've had the occasional dip when indoors as well as in the same building Rich above mentioned. Probably from lighting effects as it's only ever isolated to a certain spot.
