Well thats just wrong considering Fyfe has already said they will take him off the PICC in a couple of daysFor every story of " my brother had an infected bone graft/joint and it was fine" someone could counter with a story of "my brother had an infected bone graft/ joint and it hasn't recovered".
Thinking at this early stage that he'll definitely be fine is as stupid as thinking he'll definitely never play again. All outcomes are possible.
Taking a PICC line out is miles away from full recovery. They have apparently said he has months more of oral antibiotics just to clear the infection, and God knows what will happen if he graft is buggered.Well thats just wrong considering Fyfe has already said they will take him off the PICC in a couple of days
but okay, fall for the sensationalism headlines
So pretty standard for an infection thenTaking a PICC line out is miles away from full recovery. They have apparently said he has months more of oral antibiotics just to clear the infection, and God knows what will happen if he graft is buggered.
Let's hope so, but your certainty is baselessCareer isn't over

I’m sure Peter Alessandro identified an issue when he did the revision surgery. That involved a clean-up and repair.Until we hear he has to go back in to surgery to physically have the effect part scooped out, we should assume he'll be fine.
It isn't, its based on the facts that have been presentedLet's hope so, but your certainty is baseless
Where did I say it was a 50-50 chance? As is stating that his career may be over like it’s a 50/50 chance.
Ghee Fyfe looks good in retirement
Injury thread pops up.
Fyfey is clearly showing signs of his career threatening injury though... right? It should be a community bricking if someone bumps the thread without an actual injury.
How so?Fyfey is clearly showing signs of his career threatening injury though... right?
Can’t tell difference between debut 2010 Fyfe or 12th season veteran Fyfe.
Plus the hair. Been a while since the shaven lookHe looks like he has dropped some weight which is possibly a by product of the lack of training he has been able to do, i genuinely think he will be far better off long term being 5kgs lighter so i hope some thought is given to that.
Hopefully he doesn't suffer from the Samson effect.Plus the hair. Been a while since the shaven look

Mundy’s shock pre-season injury blow

That reads like the media has no clue but he's in a moon boot so they are assuming worst case scenario.
It's really common for low grade ankles to be in a moon boot during the acute stage.
If he's out for 8 weeks he's still right for round 1 in any case.
