You've got to be kidding.
I already rate them now. Their ability to meld as a team and just out power all other teams is phenomenal. They have the comp's best defensive structure, the best mid, and the best duo KF setup. Their small forwards are excellent, and their MF is deep. Their ability to get CC's is very good. They do not have a weakness. Lynch has made them awesome. Rance won't hurt either next year.

Danger most likely was- that happens when you carry the team every year.
Who was Blics direct opponent?

Dangerfield doesn't carry the team. Those days are gone from modern footy. It isn't one player. Hawkins, Kelly, Stewart, the young guys, and plenty of others all contributed as well.

To answer your question, at times it was Martin, in the last quarter it was Lambert.

Well then it's because the players that carry us are past it. Ablett, Taylor, Selwood, Danger- he can't play 3 consecutive BOG games at his stage of career. Clearly we ran out last week superbly, but yesterday, we were smashed in second half, and that is atypical for any CS coached team since 2011.

Why not? That's what star players are expected to do.

We finished on top of the ladder. Richmond are good, but not world beaters. I say they are the best team coming into the finals. But not that good we couldn't have beaten them after the first half start we had. Stop trying to build up Richmond like they are a version of Geelong from the not too recent past. They aren't that good. They were beatable last night, and we let them off the hook.
That's what bothers you and some Cats supporters, that another team might actually be that good. Our time in the sun is over, despite CS trying to keep us in touch. It did not work, despite GAJ, Danger, Hendo, Stanley and Kelly. It just did not work, It was worth trying. Richmond has the appetite, talent, depth- DEPTH- check out today's VFL GF, and systems to be a force at least until CS sees out his contract.

Did it work last week? From my recollection Gaff almost took the game from us...

We dodged a bullet last week. Gaff killed us but thanks to terrific contributions everywhere else we won. So it was forgotten.

Scott must have thought "it's been more than one week since I cost us a game with idiotic coaching, check out this!"

It's not Scott's fault because he coached against the greatest team eva! It's not Scott's fault because we have a crappy list. It's not Scott's fault, its all Hawkins' fault. etc.
Being a great team does not make them greatest ever.
Their list IS superior.
Hawkins absence WAS absolutely the difference if we were to cause the upset of the finals

Why are you talking about Scott to me? I think you're confused. What I said was that to suggest by next year we'd be saying Richmond are one of the greatest teams ever is in my opinion an extreme exaggeration.

After reviewing the game we just got out worked in that 2nd half Richmond mids and half forwards did a power of running that our guys couldn't compete with, they clogged up our forward line then just broke in waves when they had the ball, we tried pushing the defence up but then their fwds just got behind and made easy 1 on 1's really they could have been 6 goal winners in the end...

Tiger crowd at the ground was much better then the 2017 game -calmer, quieter, more amiable. They were ok.
Although what was with booing Stewart every time he kicked out after a point?

Even when we were dominating and held a 21pt lead at HT, the Richmond fans around us remained super calm and not really fussed, like they knew they would come back and win, and they did!

Then he shouldn't have been out there. He was perfectly fine gobbing off to Martin right before half time.

Finals is where players are judged. He was found wanting. There are no excuses.
A lame Danger is worth more than most players we have. He may have hurt himself during the game. Do you suggest he just stays off the ground? It was interesting the speculation about who would come in for Hawkins and the absolute lack of anybody of true quality. Hendo was not a popular choice on this board, yet a pretty logical one. We are just not a deep list any more.
I have no qualms in saying Dusty is a superior overall player to Danger, and I am a big Danger fan. He is our best by a long way, but falls short.

It’s an impressive resumé for CS.

His press conference really pi**ed me off. He was so salty and arrogant, the bloke needs to set a better example!
The questions he was asked by the journos were dead set shit though. Not one was useful or had any way of helping us fans understand why certain decisions were made.

You have to be kidding.

To defend Scott you are now throwing our great 2007-11 sides under the bus? This Richmond side would get destroyed by the 07, 09, or 11 teams.

But to you the Richmond team are now a behometh and even the great Scott brilliantly coaching of a cobbled together rag-tag Geelong team today cannot withstand their destiny?

Excuse me while I pick myself from the floor from laughing. According to you in another post it was all Hawkins fault. Hawkins in, and this cobbled together crap list that is Geelong beats them. But the next minute, Richmond are one of the great teams and no-one to stop them. This is hilarious.

I would love that.

Bookmark it. I’m certain it will happen.

Richmond will be carrying a lot of sore players from last night and a couple of likely outs (Graham and Broad). Never ideal to make unforced changes in GF week.

On top of that Collingwood has well and truly figured out how to beat them with 2 huge wins in their last 3 games. Richmond beat them late in the season when Pies were missing half a dozen of their best team.
