Geelong in Turmoil!

Unlike you I don't care what other people think.
- They failed miserably in the finals
- They have no coach at the min
-It is expected that by tomorrow afternoon a decision will be made on their superstar
- There list is in strife.

This is turmoil. More news to come as well.

I'm loving these sort of comments from trolls.

Just like Collingwood failed miserably in the finals losing to us to the tune of 80 something points last year. :thumbsu: I guess that means we're a good chance to make the Granny if that's anything to go by.

Which facts?

List is in strife? er no, 6 all australians this year, more than any other team.

No Coach? no... we have a coach, he is just having a break. Clearly that is not fact.

shall i keep going???? only a week of school holidays left then you can trot off back to school.

Puts Collingwood's win in the Prelim in perspective, beat a team in crises by 40 points, yet was claimed a miracle! maybe the decidely average team we saw last week is the Collingwood is the real side?

Just because people don't agree with a topic it doesn't make it a troll. A simple easy way to run away from the facts.

You could have uses the word 'fact' a few more times, and you didn't mention 'turmoil' at all. You could have fit 4 or 5 turmoils in that post. Come on man, pick it up!

I'll start you off:

This turmoil is in fact factual. Though the turmoil is obvious, Cat fans and everyone else for that matter are denying the turmoil; this fact means, factually, that they are in turmoil. This in turn is further factual evidence of fact that Geelong are, in fact, in turmoil. FACT

... turmoil.

Try addressing the facts instead of running and hiding behind the word troll. Typical response to turmoil.

Here's some facts...

2007 and 2009 Premierships after beating Collingwood in prelims both years..

Collingwood are in turmoil because their pathetic players have pea hearts.. 1 premiership in 50 years was it?

Hanging your hat on premierships from the 20s and 30s still? :o

the attitude of some people on here is interesting to say the least.

hardly a club in turmoil.

Yeah Ablett may leave and why shouldnt he, he has done a lot for the club, but an extra million dollars a year sets him up for life, i dont think anyone can begrudge him that. They still have Bartel, Selwood and Scarlett who would be probably 10 clubs in the leagues best player if they left.

Bomber Thompson has always said that coaching isnt something he wants to do all his life and from memory has a fairly successful business too. He has coached them for 11 seasons and may see it as time to move on and let somebody else have a go with what is still an extremely talented list.

Yes we were so bad we got hammered. Oh that's right, we didn't. Shows how bad Geelong are. Typical Geelong response, trying to turn a Geelong thread to Collingwood. Inadequate as always.

Geelong are in Turmoil. A coach who needs a break and may not be back, trade week approaching, a superstar who may be leaving, an aging list and two final failures against Collingwood and St Kilda after many people expected them to win the flag. Troubled times at the Cattery.

Sadly, there will be many many BF posters who will derive delight from what is happening at Geelong.

Ironically, the departure of Bomber and likely departure of Ablett are / were not of Geelong's making.

All I can say to supporters of other clubs, don't gloat too loudly because "there by the grace of God go I".

Check your facts before you make ridiculous statements.

so...come on, elaborate on your more bad things to come..

yes abletts leaving and yes bomber will only coach one more year..

we will get two top 10 draft picks for him leaving and have ample assistant coaches who the players respect just as much..

while the cats will have to rebuild, umm....where is the turmoil??

finals failure...?? only one team can fail this finals...the team that finishes on top yet might not win a flag with 2 chances at it...

Another response that lacks class and hides the facts. Keep running and hiding.

Another response that typifies the state of your club. Always looking for blame elsewhere.

I wouldn't say a club in Turmoil just yet as they still have a very strong list compared to most of the recently successful clubs, but that is a bit of a talking point & they are definitely back to par with the top 5 or 6 clubs Being Pies, Saints, Swans, Dogs & Freo.

Can't be on top forever & just a shame for their supporters that they could not capitalise on there recent dominance.

Agreed that it's all coming undone down at Geelong.

Thompson knows he can't win another flag with this group so he's bailing earlier than expected - so much for loyalty eh?

Ablett has always been a me first team second kind of bloke so it was inevitable he'd take the money and run. GC bound without a doubt.

Numerous retirements and players being forced out during the offseason. (Ling perhaps?)

A gameplan that has been well-and-truly worked out by the rest of the comp and one that relies on midfield supremacy to function - something the Cats will no longer enjoy week in, week out.

Make no mistake, Geelong are coming back to the pack at a rate of knots. They've had their time in the sun and now the club is going to cop a hard dose of reality beginning round 1, 2011.

I promise not to gloat as hard as many Geelong supporters have been doing on these boards over the past 3 years.
