Rohan's been allright this year IMO, but yeah the 2 worst finals performers in the league in the past 10 years.
Probably the 2 worst I've ever seen TBH.

He is averaging 8 touches a game, less then 1 goal, and 2.5 tackles. stats are almost identical to Savs with exception sav gets 6 hit outs a game but averages less goals.


sav however gets a better defender and plays a huge role across half forward in bringing the ball to ground.

you cant want sav gone but say rohans been alright. They are pretty much identical In perfromance output. rohans nearly 30 and has no improvement left in him while sav potentially has heaps.

I think Danger drop in firm is a big worry , he is not lifting when he needs to lift

Against brisbane and collingwood he was clearly our best player.

yesterday he was our best clearance player and equal of the eagles best. Continues to take big pack marks that everyone weirdly seems to ignore. If any other mid took marks like he did week in week out there would be endless praise.

only thing that seems to be down is his stamina a bit as he aint finding quite as much ball. Field kicking has been much better this year.

Yes those couple of key turnovers swung the game. if he keeps doing it then its a problem but that was kind a one off. Hopefully. he was good in the marking contests last night. Took a couple of good ones and bought the ball down. we need a second big forward. It makes us more direct. Think krueger is more a third tall option at afl level. We dont have anyone else until jenkins is fit.

Go watch a few replays of center bounces and watch where our midfielders are positioned. It's been a major problem for quite a while. Nic Nat may have been influencial but it was impossible to stop their midfield when we were standing in the wrong spots and seemingly stationary.

But blicavs was the most underrated player in the game last week after his awesome rucking performance wasnt he? I know he lost the hit outs comfortably to the freo ruck and only found the ball 13 times last week but it was awesome. Somehow.

A lot of criticism flying around here after what was essentially a very good effort overall. They’ll be disappointed they lost, but WC were playing their awesome best at home and the cats almost beat them. I suspect that would have been a comfortable win to the cats at home or the g. It really means the cats are as good as any team when playing their best.

Sav did some good things and shows signs of being a solid player. The mistakes were bad but he’ll learn from that.

Rohan had a quiet game stats-wise, but he doesn’t stop working in the forward line. He ran hard, competed and created turnovers.

Henry made some blues, especially when one on one, but he’s a good cog in the backline.

NicNat was unbelievable, but he had many centre bounces that landed in his lap...and with his “legs out” jump, Sav mostly couldn’t get near it. Conversely, on one occasion when it fell into Sav’s vicinity, Razor incorrectly called it back. Blitz did quite well though and beat him a few times.

Close is a keeper.
Henderson was good.
Hawkins was good. Should have had a shot on goal to take back the lead after a big head-high hit.
... and plenty more positives.

I remember very early in his career Selwood had an absolutely ridiculously good record in close games.

We just never seem to win them anymore.

Since the start of 2018 we are now 4-10 in games decided by less than 2 goals.

Make that 1-10 against anyone other than Melbourne

Yeah its ridiculous. There was nothing more certain in the world that there would be a 180degree turn around this week.
The exact same thing happened last year when he did allright against Goldy in the pissing down rain.

Yeah I do like him. Kicking must improve though. Goal kicking accuracy is the most important thing in the game now IMO.

Why can't you want them both dropped (when better alternatives are fit which is hard with our current injuries) because neither is up to scratch?

I'd still like an explanation as to why Constable wasnt paid a free kick for head high contact 20 out or why Danger wasn't paid a holding free even closer to goal than that. That would have shut the door.

Before the game, I said I thought Geelong would lose but all I hoped for was they'd have a crack. They certainly did that, so I can't fault that. I think in the end, WCE had too many good players to hold down for a whole game and though our younger guys fought hard, the talent in that WCE side (and probably fatigue) was too much for our guys to handle. I was disappointed for a bit because sometimes I feel like I see this all too often in the Cats. Getting into a good position then letting it slip away. At half time last night, I thought of the Prelim and hoped we wouldn't see a repeat of that, but we did. We have some good young talent in the team, but to beat teams like the WCE they need to be better than just good.

Agreed and it would be Kolo for me he's our Ryan Schoenclangers continues to undo any good work he does with silly turnovers.But me thinks the club see him differently so he's safe.
