A few further things to note; as we get into the second half of the season, I'll seek to source the draft pick tracker to add to this thread as that will be something I know will get use as we get closer to the actual trade period

It may not be relevant now, but if we hear of confirmation of players officially nominating Geelong as their destination of choice for a trade or as an FA then we'll open individual threads on an as needs basis - until such time though, let's keep discussions in this thread

We were a little cheeky with the previous thread in that approx 222 pages of it was from 2024, we just had a slight title update at the start of the year - so we really only got close to halfway through a thread this year before starting the next edition

Just some things i have heard across the past fortnight.
Harley Reid. As good as got.
Butters being inundated with offers way beyond what might have been a nice handshake agreement between us.
But... watch this space.
Worpedo. Odds have shortened recently of him wearing a Hoops jumper.
Dawks struggling to offer enough years along with the cash wanted/needed.
Young Davies from the Suns. Regrets??. Hoops bound in 26 on the cards.? Depending acquisitions elsewhere i reckon.
And a nice little one from Left field. Surprised me.
Keep an eye out for another eagle in Oscar Allen

A best 22 FA player would be a reasonable add..however Id be surprised if a player like Worpel were the only player we bring in though.

If we cant get AAA guys that have been speculated on, I think we would look at other options .Im sure there would be some that could be shaken loose. I don't think its coincidental that Pies are playing Allen this week V Freo. Seems like they putting the neon lights on him.. as they are just one of many teams that will need points.

One does have to wonder sometimes about the choices made by players. he must have known it was going to be tough to break in.

Id say we need to keep an eye on those northern lists. Gold Coast have got 2 or 3 mids coming in as academy players so probably makes it harder for him...

I see on Gettable today they rate Brisbanes kid Annabel top 5. There is going to be players that just do not get chances when they keep adding talent.

Hawks have more cap room than us. They can outbid for worpel if they want.
If they aren't offering him more it means they have a high value trade target lined up.
