Review Good/bad/ugly vs Carlton

Sick of losing to Carlton in close games but we didn't deserve to win this game. That was such an awful start.

Our forward line is still a dogs breakfast. Three goals between JVR, Pickett, Turner, Fritsch, Chandler Petty and ANB. ANB gets off the hook because he does so much more around the ground. Hard to win games with that output from our forwards. Luckily we had Trac go there and mix it up. Forwards need to learn to attack the footy, we looked so much more dangerous in that last because our forwards actually started to go for the ball.

I thought Woey was great when he came on.

9 disposals in the last quarter. He's looked comfortable at AFL level with each game. I'd rather invest game and experience into him.

I am totally on board for this. I think he really is just building every game worth keeping him in. In hindsight I feel Bowey should have been the sub.

Yep, the few big games we have won at the G since 2018 have nearly all been us dragging good teams down to our level of scrappy s**t and the backline playing at god like levels.

• Pickett not kicking a point 2m out directly in front costing us the game
• Our forwards being useless at bringing the ball to ground in the wet costing us the game
• Gawn slapping the ball out of Oliver’s hands costing us the game
• Sparrow never improving for 4 years costing us the game
• Kemps dive costing us the game

I did say "nearly all" not all. That game was weirdly different to most, we actually jumped them early and tried to attack throughout, entertaining for sure.
