Richmond have the worst free kicks for differential in the afl. Giants won the free kick count today. People mention the dubious calls in the 3rd quarter but have forgotten about umpiring going against us in the 1st half.

The Tank played a brilliant game last night but I doubt he flogs Jacobs that much to win the Norm. Jacobs hasn't been badly beaten all year, count on one hand the number of games he has had his colours lowered.

If Nankervis wins the NS it'll be one of the best GF performances of all time I reckon. Should be a good battle between the 2 though.

AFL & Their merry men who control momentum & results in this sporting competition do love a good fairytale you know. Try as they might though there will be no fairytale next week. Crows have one thing that has stood out all year in a very inconsistent season over the majority of the competition and that is class. Blow them away early and be resilient and tough when the inevitable Tsunami comes and you might be a chance. Its their year and they desrve it.

I hope Adelaide win but ..... umm, minor premiers don't always win premierships.
Only 6 times since 1996 the minor premier has won it all and 10 times have finished runner up. 2nd and 3rd has had the most success, with 4th, 5th and 7th winning it once. 6th made the Grand Final once, 8th made the preliminary final once.

Giving that the last 3 minor premiers have failed to win it, that places Adelaide into a good position to win it this year. But in sport you cannot guarantee anything.

North Melbourne has never won the premiership after finishing top, same with St Kilda, Fremantle and Adelaide (although that could change this weekend). North has won 4 premierships from 2nd and 3rd.
Western Bulldogs, Brisbane Lions, GWS Giants and Gold Coast Suns have never won the minor premiership.

The underdog has won the Grand Final in 97,98,01,04,08,09,11,12,14,16
