Veron has had a ridiculous amount of possession.

Coming up for 100 completed passes for the match, with 125 odd attempts.

In perspective. Before this match, the leader so far was Marquez with 160 completed from 3 matches.

Now has 107 from 137

Messi, wow. Deserves a goal, but his shot sets up a chance for the old man Palermo, who tucks it in the far corner.

2-0

Greek coach screaming for them to attack

The reason I like Argentina more than Brazil is because Argentina know how to defend.

That, and the fact that Argentina don't have a beloved false public opinion of them based on a style of play they haven't even employed this decade, let alone win a world cup with since 1970.

They didn't know how to defend last night.

Lucky not to conceed in that first half when they were split open 3-4 times.

Could mark that down to backups and the cohesion between a makeshirft back four.

But on the BBC stream I was watching, they were digging into Gutierrez, especially his performance against Nigeria. Was consistently out of position, and his tackling technique was being exposed time and time again. Luckily, they were facing a sub par Nigeria side. Any decent winger would have made them pay.

Not enough defensive showing last night from Otamendi though, so they may stick with Guti in the 16s.

Clemete Rodriguez was superb last night with his driving runs. Probably could have a case for Heinze's job, but once again, didn't have to actually defend anyone.

Dunga's got style.

I'm just wondering why Sum Dum Fook, Lik Me Dik and Suk Me Kok didn't get a run for the Koreans this morning?

I take it the ;) means your post was meant to be funny

Dunga's Brazil is all about defence man!

and they conceded against north korea who made lucio and maicon look like absolute fools

they also conceded a weak goal against ivory coast

if their defence doesn't improve, they won't cut it in the knockout stages

just because dunga is about defence doesn't mean they can actually do it

and i agree about the comment on argentina's defence... a world class striker would've scored given samaras' opportunities... having said that, it was argentina's 5ths

Honeslty i saw both goals they conceded as being toward the end when they were just passing the ball around to each other yelling 'OLE' and not really playing how Dunga set them up.

I agree it will be interesting to see them play against someone that can stay in the game and pressure them for the full 90
