Very soft effort with the exception of a few.

Someone should've been put over the fence for what happened to Mirra.

Really disappointing to see basically no remonstration whatsoever and found it reflective of the team effort, just soft.

Special shout out to Luke Bruest and Jarman Impey though, sensational games and if everyone can build the attack on the ball Jars has we'll be in for a hell of a year.

Poor efforts all round. Played like they'd been reading some of the Hawks BF posters talking up how much we were going to win this game by. Always saw it as a danger game, North have been really good this year so far.

Thought Smith, Henderson, Morrison, Breust and Doc all gave it a red hot go. Roughy had a mare. TOB has to go, way too many chances.

75 at half time i think then struggled along adding another 3.5 for the rest of the game, at least they showed something and it didnt end up like last year early season.

Just one of those games when you come out flat and get jumped by a less talented team.
These games tend to dissipate as the season progresses when the games tilt to skill over just effort.

Frawley, Ruff, Burto, Glass, Morro, BB, JOM, Cousins, Howe, TOB, Stratts all had absolute shockers. Can’t win with that many not showing up. Gunner wasn’t much better.

The silver lining was that 3rd quarter which showed that when on song we are a very potent side.

Massive learning curve for the boys today. You can't always play to 100% intensity. Took to long for our leaders to step up clarko had to do it at half time. Showed lots of courage and heart in the 3rd qtr so im not overally upset this happens.
Bottem line couldn't get our hands on the ball mitchell,howe,omeara all under 20 possies u wont win any games of footy with that.
What i learnt
Frawley is not in our best 22 anymore. We don't have to many other tall options thou. Brand and thats it.
When u look at our spine tob,schoey,brand,frawley its very weak rough our only strong key position player.

Positives - second time this year we’ve fought back. Last year we’d be staring at triple figures, so that’s good I suppose

Impey is something special. He’s not even close to match fit yet

Negatives - slow start

Frawley is cooked. Could be excused when he was providing a contest, but now he isn’t even chasing his opponent. If we’re going to haemorrhage goals, at least make it a learning experience for a younger player (Brand, heatherly, or Lewis)

Mitchell had a horrible game. Clearly frustrated by the Attention he’s getting. Clarko needs to speak up at the presser, and continue to speak up until he gets some protection

First half, north absolutely flooded around around the ball. Why did it take 2 qtrs to start spreading the ball?

Durea had many courageous moments. Roughie many deft touches in the midfield

A marking forward please. Seeing majak mark too easily too often - too common in our losses.

Omeara and mitchell not good enough today. McEvoy beaten badly but kept working hard. Impey had a crack.

Burton now looks like a young raw player instead of the absolute gun he was last year. Has lost his agility and confidence. Coaching staff have to fix this quickly.

Smith and roughy lifted us in the 3rd - was really pleased.

On a brighter note- billy hartung did his best to get us into the game.

Country level footy for a half. Remembered at half time that while we were correct to believe we should beat them, you had to actually turn up and do the hard work on the day. Played a brilliant third time but the damage had been done and didn't have the legs to run it out.

What's important now is to take second half form and beat Saints. Still better placed than we'd hoped for if we go 4-2

Breust, Smith and Sicily at a different level to their team mates today.

I only watched bits and pieces we need more pressure in the midfield the way we got them to turn the ball over was with our structure, when North were turned on early on the only way we could've stopped it was with our own pressure players, though they did tire themselves out early.

People may not like to hear it, Langford would've been handy. And maybe Worpel should've been in if his pressure is as good as the AFLX suggested.

My dog are you serious. They've only beaten shit teams, lost to the Suns and Dees, and they touched us up early, we should've beaten them, but coulda shoulda woulda. I can deal with a loss but they are far less talented.

Duryea is one of our bravest players on the field but he is also our dumbest.

How many goals did he leak and how many of our own offensive attempts did he stuff up? He can be a liability but unfortunately we need strong bodies in our already paper thin young defence.
