Few points-
We made the worst player on any list in the competition, Majak Daw look like a great CHB.

Our first half was just soft, we let a less talented side outwork us, unacceptable. Reckon we drunk our own bath water after last week.

We need a forward target to bail out kick too coz the North defence dominance meant we didn’t and turned it over in the middle.

Positives- great effort to come back.

Impey, blokes a star, will only get better.
Bruest- back to his best.

Wouldn’t mind a few 50/50s going our way either. They definitely got the rub of the green today.

Kick up the ass we need. Better come out breathing fire next week

Sorry but losing Poppy/Cyril is a cop out. Belted in the middle having those two in would of changed nothing.

Obrien has to go..1 good game every 6 weeks doesnt cut it anymore..hes 24 years old..frawley has to go..this really should of been another rebuilding year..Birchall and Puopolo should of retired last year..Frawley, Burgoyne all need to go end of this year..otherwise we gunna be that hamster going round and round on the wheel..getting nowhere...bring in Cegs, Mitch lewis, Pittonet, Brand give lovell a crack..we going to have to move on another 5 players over the next 2 years..might as well pump games into the young players now..

I see a lot of people spruiking on about Glass to be in our best 22 , I didn't get it at the start of the year and I don't get it now.

No, he's a good B+ player, that was made to look A grade when he had Hodge, Gibson and Lake around him.

Now we are bang average in defence, he looks like Melbourne Frawley and C+ is being kind.

Would listen to offers for him as seasons end.

Langford has a go 100% of the time. He's average, but he cracks the f in!!!

We can talk about the first half for an eternity. However that final quarter performance was really shabby. They were two rotations down.

Our skills were really poor, and the major questions marks I had all pre game were answered.

Burton - really didn’t show enough. He is expected to rise. Unfortunately poor.

Mirra - when the heat was on, his disposal and efficiency was shabby.

O’Brien - no impact, disappointing.

We didn’t gel today. Happy to only go down by 28 in the finish.

Every game is huge this season. When you are off you are punished. Annoying loss, however that’s where we are at. A massive opportunity missed.

If we can somehow remain a game or preferably two ahead of the bye, then we should expect a host of experience to come in which will compliment our side.

The whole team was sub par today. No real winners apart from Breust who continues his exceptional season.

One team has won a premiership with their home at Etihad (bulldogs). North will slow down when the real heat is on. They cannot produce that first half on a weekly basis for a full season. It was too perfect. Reminded me of some of our out of the box performances in 2006.

Burton and Rough are really struggling. Both were liabilities today sadly.

Well that wasn't very pleasant. Going to have some losses though, we will get better as the season progresses I am sure. Worried about who we might lose through suspensions though.

Was a really dumb loss. Can’t cruise against average teams anymore - we don’t have a superstar on each line like we used to.

The second half we got it on our terms and had them panicking. We went back into ourselves though after getting the first goal of the last, which I thought was weird.

Quite a few pointed to this as a danger game prior to the match. There was a combination of Etihad Stadium, north’s unpredictability, Cyril/rioli out and us exceeding our own expectations in the first month of the season that made a few of us doubt.

Didn’t expect the first half to be as awful as it was though - that was a shock.

Ah man, you know I posed my question to a poster suggesting that we’d learn from the loss & not to you.

What I do think we have learned from is the Richmond game. In that game we sent multiple tacklers to the man & were burned when it left Richmond players free to receive handballs.

Today, we were flooded at the ball & had no answer for their numbers at the contest. North are a garbage clearance team & we've been killing it - they were always going to do this...

Mid-game changes aren’t our thing, but I hope one of our learnings is to play the game on its merits (at selection as well) & find that balance between over & under committing at the contest.
