In the advertiser today KG (known tossa in SA) has come out and said we fluked last years premiership. He also mentions a team missing the finals after a premiership hasn't been done for "yonks" FYI - KG you knob, the crows were the last in 1999!

Knowing this idiot it really doesn't surprise me but it made my blood boil this morning. He also goes on to spray Clarko and Jeff.

The guy has no idea, but I hope this sort of stuff inspires the boys over summer to shut our critics up.

I just hope Adelaide gets no where in the finals; the supporters over here are turning into cocky w*nkers and it would make me physically sick if they won the premiership this year.

Do you have to somehow accidentally beat the best 3 sides of the year 3 weeks in a row?

ah i can't be stuffed. When we bounce back next year it'll shut everyone up. This year has been a great development year for all of our depth players. 2010 is gonna be something special.

You can;t fluke a premiership.

You can get lucky with a win or even have a great season and make the eight when you have less talent than teams outside, but fluking a premiership?

We won the first nine games of the year. Is that a fluke?

We flogged the Saints and Dogs in our two lead up finals and then beat the Cats by nearly five goals, having lost to them by less than two a couple of months earlier. That doesn;t sound like a fluke to me.

In addition, we had the best half back in the league in Hodge; the best forward in Buddy; a top five forward in Roughie; two of the best clearance players in Sewell and Mitchell; the best gut runner in 2008 in Bateman; etc, etc.

Things definitely went right for Hawthorn in 2008 and they haven;t in 2009. To say we fluked it is to say St Kilda's 2009 is a fluke. Nonsensical.

We missed the finals by 1 spot this year, they missed it by 5 spots in 1999!

P.S - Clarko and Browny you are Hawthorn through and through and we wouldn't have it any other way. They can bring up the "battle of britain" (again) all they want but I reckon Sewelly would have loved hearing about it.

How does finishing the season with a 20-5 record, BARELY losing to Geelong in Round 17 and most importantly, completely dismantling the Bulldogs and the Saints in the Qualifying and Preliminary Finals respectively, constitute a "fluke"??
