Autopsy Heck of a effort against the Dogs.

Sack the curator of the SCG
Sack our goalkicking coach
Sack the mods who let Bulldogs fans in our board after games
Sack the umpires with their stupid ruck frees
Sack Hayden McLean

Don’t know why you are disappointed he does that most weeks
Needed to stand up tonight with Amartey out. Ultimately we created enough opportunities to win the game. There was always concern about containing their forwards with Mcartin out and unfortunately they kicked straight as well.

Great game. How many missed shots from less than thirty out inside a 45° angle?

Anyway, huge effort. Goal kicking the obvious downer but effort and transition were positives tonight. Also good that we had multiple players work into the game after slow starts.

Hope we don't give up. But agree looks like our seasons done.
It sucks but it is what it is, what is better for the club fight a little get the pre draft pick 10 that pushes out to areas around Max King?

Or tank get pick 5 that pushes out to like 8-9 and then take the best player available before Max King's bid?

Play some kids sure (if they've earned it), but tanking is a disgrace.

We beat ourselves, we have forgotten how to win tight games.

McLean time is up.
Seriously looked scared every time he had to have a shot. Keep Buller in and see what develops.
Most good…Blakey …yikes, not one who was.

So glad to see out first really competitive hit out…we won’t play finals but we win more than we lose going home.

The first quarter umpiring was a disgrace.

Our goal kicking from set shots absolutely a shines the spotlight on out b8ggest frailty…..we are mentally inept.

Okay fine fine, McKay IN. The Blues are at their worst point of their season and maybe it is time for a change for him lol.

We might get shockers where he will miss from 20 out but we need an above average forward in the worst way

Buller's kicking mechanics are completely off kilter he needs to change something if he is a chance of making it at the top level

ToG is telling.

Sheldrick 61% - not trusted by Cox & likely to dropped.

Which is disappointing, as he’d had a few really good games leading into tonight.
His disposal under pressure was a problem

Work on it….his general 0laynis good and enough to warrant the attention, just don’t get the advice from within the club He is a better option than McLean

Put up a decent score for once and should have kicked 3-4 more which should have been enough to get up. Still the effort was much improved , tackling still not there and still a lot of fumbling the ball. Goal kicking again dire. The state of the SCG is embarrassing it's a long time since that concert.
McCartin was a big out and their talls we couldn't get on top of all night. Heeney was incredible should be our stand in goal kicking coach. Grundy again was flying.
McLean can go for a spell , wasn't massively impressed with Buller but with finals now gone I would give him a couple more just to see if we should retain him at the end of season (not sure but think he has chopped out in ruck in the twos). Cleary needs to come in to provide more pressure in the forward fifty.
Much as I hate the dogs they have a very decent squad especially when Treloar comes back from injury , it was always going to be a big ask to roll them tonight. Plenty of opportunities hopefully for the fringe players to get a chance as we play out the season.

  • Decent effort, good performance for a loss, but makes you rue those pissed away games against Port & Essendon early in the year, we should be a finals contender but season officially done now. What a cancer goal kicking has been this year.
  • Bad night to be missing McCartin though, probably the difference.
  • There's just this general sloppiness at times which holds us back a bit. Glad we're taking it on more, but so many times we have to stop for the handball.
  • It's a dead-set disgrace watching Libba throw the ball every second disposal and not get pinged.
  • The good (and bad) thing about these last few weeks it's starting to show that the primary issue may be depth (most fixable issue imo). The bottom 6 types were the ones who let us down again. Meanwhile a few duds like Bramble for them gave them something. Rather than try and snag and blow our salary on a big fish in the offseason, I'd rather 2-3 little to medium fish that improve the squad.
  • Mills was poor tonight. Not sure what to do with Campbell, in a serious flag threat it would be hard to see him the best 22 unless there's a big (and starting to look unlikely) leap at some point. Very messy for a player, who has elite skills. Don't know how many games McLean's cost us with his goal kicking but quite a few, 3 or 4 now. Needs to find form/confidence.
  • Heeney, Grundy & Errol were terrific. Our top end really can carry us a long way, we really, really need a stronger 18-22 group though or atleast a few more players of the same level that will make their competition for those spots so we can just pick on form.
  • While not shooting the lights out Buller did a few nice things for a second gamer, really wish we'd have given him a go earlier in the year when we were in that injury crisis to get a better look at him....don't know if he'll get a fair go to prove his worth before the end of the year (hope he does) and we may delist without ever really having a proper look.

He also plays better as the lead forward which he would be at Sydney
His kicking is not the answer for us…everyone can see how frail that is, why would we go there?
