My partner works in childcare she constantly tells me story’s about sick children dropped off in the morning with no regard for the staff or other children who attend

Or parents getting a call to pick up sick children with temperatures as high as 39 degrees and not picking them up until the end of the day and will get upset when told they will need to get a doctors clearance to attend care again

The amount of parents sending sick children into care although they don’t work and are at home anyway is also pretty staggering

I‘m in SA. If we get 200-300 cases a day in a heavily vaccinated population with few deaths I’ll take that all day every day. In fact, I think letting covid trickle through society is a good thing, but if you meet the virus, it’s better to be vaccinated, whatever age you are.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but whilst I think Marshall has been good until now, if he balks at a few hundred cases in a heavily vaccinated population, than he’s lost me.

Now we just need to get those numbers up.

I think the way NSW was doing it was the way we all need to be. Sadly I am not confident we can even return to the way NSW was before the delta strain took hold.

this is what will be expected going forwards. people will be expected to use sick leave and carer leave. Jobs that don't provide this type of leave will only be taken up by the desperate/ vulnerable

One of my kids had pneumonia 4 times in his first year of life (and survived). He constantly has and had a runny nose throughout his 18 years. How is he suppose to do anything nowadays. Does he lock himself away now forever...because he honestly would have never done anything over the last few years if he followed the symptoms advice to the letter of the law (he's been tested 3 or 4 times and always been neg). It's always dodgy if he goes to work. It's such a shitty situation for some people to be in. He probably doesn't do everything he can though...nasal sprays etc. to reduce symptoms as much as possible...if it worked so he is partly to blame. But still he would feel like diseased person every time he ventures out.
