I honestly don't know, however I feel like the issue will be brought into focus politically before winter. When was the last time he actually mentioned Covid?

But are they in step with the current ministers?I honestly don't know, however I feel like the issue will be brought into focus politically before winter.
Even though COVID has been mutating to frequently to settle into a seasonal illness.
Honestly, Albo made a big stuff up promising not to sack ppublic servants. Brendan Murphy and some of the current geriatric/liberal appointee AHPPC crew are completely out of step with reality on the issue.
They are probably trying to get as much as they can from governments. Look at how much Sutton was sidelined and ignored the moment the pandemics laws came in.I honestly don't know, however I feel like the issue will be brought into focus politically before winter.

The Health system needs to be beefed up.In Victoria, after eight years plus of the Andrews Government, there are no Liberal appointees. Even as a member of a political party I find your partisanship astounding.
Anyway, back to Andrews - what should he do that would be considered politically acceptable?
The Health system needs to be beefed up.
If we're going to have a perpetual, continual stream of new ICU patients and ambulance calls, we need more resources to handle it.
There was a pre-COVID health requirement, which the current system was built to handle, but now we're in a post-COVID environment.
I don't know the numbers, but if we now have 110% of the cases/patients than pre-COVID then we should have 110% of the health system capacity. It's like they're still thinking it's a wave which will recede, but it's not a surge, it's just the new state-of-health.
I agree that prevention has run its race now that it's endemic, it's really up to individuals to manage their own risk. While that would be difficult and expensive, it is a plan and a politically palatable one. Personally I think Andrews, like many governments, is of the opinion that any tolerance for lockdowns and other such preventative measures has pretty much disappeared from the populace. There's also a question as to how effective they'd be anyway considering likely compliance issues.

take note of what the epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists suggest. here's one - prof crabbWhat would you have Dan do that would improve the situation while being palatable to the populace?
take note of what the epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists suggest. here's one - prof crabb
- vaccines and the need to be fully vaccinated,
- continuing to test and isolate if positive,
- a focus on clean air and better ventilation, and
- the ongoing use of masks
none are mandated as far as i know. was at a supermarket on monday and saw 3 other peeps wearing masks.Which of those are we currently not doing?
Is there some sort of legal compulsion for Victorian officials following the lead of Commonwealth officials? The press have demanded much from Daniel Andrews that he has had the political strength to resist - why not this?Re-read my post before you feign pearl clutching.
I expressly referenced the national committee and federal appointees. National unity is what the press demanded and what Victoria signed up for. We've been following the lead of the AHPPCs, ATAGI and the department of the federal Health Minister's advice almost to the T ever since.

Probably a good idea not to force people back into CBD for work using public transport for the most part as well.take note of what the epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists suggest. here's one - prof crabb
