Herald Sun (Steve Price) launching another attack on Victorians for voting Dan back in. He is right that Dan's incompetent, corrupt and wasteful government shouldn't be voted back in but he missed the point they will be voted back in because the current opposition is worse. It is like choosing between Putin and Xi as leader or Essendon and West Coast to support - both options are terrible.

the bit about it being politics is spot on. the fact is most infectious disease specialists r saying it's a business decision rather than a health one. more peeps r still dying in a week from covid than die from the flu in a year.

The same as most new government organisations these days (such as the first peoples assembly that less than 10% of eligible voters cared enough to vote for), cost alot of money but do nothing except generate press releases and .keep some activists in jobs. It just the same old rule, if you need to be seen to do something just create a new organisation or appointment and that is enough.

What I've noticed is the amount of corflutes popping up.
Curiously, the overwhelming majority are for the LNP, very few ALP.
Make of that what you will.

I was more interested in beer and girls at the time so my memory is vague. I suppose anything is possible, but I don't see it being a probable outcome.
I'll do my part by putting the ALP last purely because I hate Dan, but geez the LNP are woeful and not ready to lead.
Doesn't seem like the most scientific method of polling. What is your margin for error in your 88 seat LNP victory?

I'm still fascinated as to how Andrews is "corrupt". A case can always be made about competence, but I'm not sure where the "Corrupt" part is.
What are the current accusations of corruption against Andrews? Is it just the red-shirts stuff still or is there something else circulating in cooker-land?

Individual responsibility is how Government's get out of doing their jobs.
When they start talking about individual responsibility on any topic, it means they're not going to help.
It's a bullshit phrase because in the case of the pandemic it's saying its up to vulnerable people to not die, nobody has to help them, which when they have carers, live in homes, are in hospital etc is kind of grim
It's amazing how individual responsibility isn't rolled out when government ****s up, if it was there wouldn't be many of the current crop left in jobs nationally
